I still can’t believe I got to see the two greatest goal scorers to play hockey.  At one point it seemed like Gretzky’s record would never be broken.

They typically use their exhibition against the US junior team.  This one was added in late so they didn't have 2 weeks off before the start of the conference season.

With Michigan losing to Ohio State last night Wisconsin is likely the new #1!

I thought the Badger men might struggle to find some offense early in the season. Looks like they are picking up where they left off last season. Should be a good season hopefully.

I am not sure what to think of them yet.  They had a good road sweep, but then again Mankato kinda looks bad.  They whooped what appears to be a terrible ND team.

It is good to see offense though. I am probably just overthinking it.

In unrelated college or professional news, my daughter and son played their first 8u game this weekend.  My son is playing up an age level, but both did just fine.  My daughter won the skills competition race after. That was fun.  Her first 'earned' medal.  My son was not too pleased in the locker room after.  He asked why everyone didn't get one. I told him if you want to win medals you have to work hard and win to get them.  Curious to see how he does this weekend. lol

Just grateful my Minnesota Wild's First Line is clearly the best Line in NHL hockey. Sans an injured (tho skating and ramping up) Faber, it doesn't even matter with the way they are flying out there. They've not allowed a goal in 5 v 5 play all season. 17 Games, 181:04 TOI, 14 G, 0 GA. They are a wagon.

Also, have any of you seen this disgusting hit in the Mankato match vs E Superior St? Absurd loss of sensibilities here. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a deeper inquiry here:

Young man only got a 4-Game suspension. I don't know. This is the type of hit that could ruin someone's life.

This team skates so much better than the last couple of Eave's teams.

 

Granato's teams skated all right but they were just undisciplined and unorganized.
