I talked with him (Evert) earlier this week and he said that him and Zumwalt were going to likely get an opportunity to get in this one. What did Zumwalt do?

I'm going on record as saying that Dana Eveland's downfall is totally and completely my fault. I traded for him on my Strato team about a week ago, knowing full well that it would doom his career. I couldn't help myself. I want to apologize now to Dana, his family, and all Brewer fans out there.

The Brewers are emptying the bench, all the way to the rookie leagues. Matt Gamel, Darren Ford, Nestor Correador, Callix Crabbe, Ned Yost, Angel Salome, among many others.

Robert Hinton in to pitch the bottom of the 8th against the Angels. Unless Evert got in earlier, looks like he might not get in.

In the top of the ninth, Steve Moss and John Alonso got out, Ken Holmberg hit a line-drive single, Callix Crabbe doubled (Rex Hudler was in wonderment over his name) Holmberg to third, but Fermaint struck out to end it.

 

Angels win, 12-1.
