How ugly can the Brewer's get? Failed sac bunt by cappy, almost a double play, but bad throw to first. Cappy out at second trying to advance.

 

I know that a no hitter is inevitable, but I was worried Willis wouldn't face the min. after that walk to Bennett. That was close.

That was one game, you can't say he's "been hitting the ball well" after one solid performance.

 

You also can't say he was hitting the ball poorly after a total of six other games.

Catchers are teh greatest thing in the world. bennett kicks butt, even is he's batting under .200 and is a horrible defensive catcher.

I find it funny that we can't ever hit for teh catchers because of a possible injury in two innings leaving the Brewers without a catcher. But the Brewers can play an entire series without a back up catcher.

Also, Craig Counsell is what baseball is all about. A guy who plays great defense, can hit the ball well, hustles and truly loves the game. He won't hit 5-10 homers a year, but he will drive in some runs and get on base. That's what it's all about. Nice job Craig and nice job Billy.

Yost isn't ******** after all. He talks to Helms, he benches Pods, and he is going to have Pods bat 8th on tuesday? In fact, maybe this is genius. Yost gives people ample opportunity to fail so he can a) have leverage with them in the future, b) identify what to do with slumping people in the future, and c) show the fans that he is not ******** after all.

Singles hitters, too! I love the line Daron (I think, forgot who said it) just used: "If Yost is taking Capuano out this early, there must be a reason." Like Yost has a reason for everything else he does, including not looking at stats.

85 pitches is about the limit for Cappy. Look back at what happened at Houston earlier in July. Cappy was dealin' and then the wheels fell off. I just wish Yost did the same with Hendrickson vs. Chi.
