The dumbest part is that the justification for bringing back Obermueller was that Matt Wise couldn't pitch today, or at least couldn't pitch enough to start. If that was true, what changed in the one inning that Obermueller pitched? Was that extra 20 minutes of rest critical?

 

If they needed another pitcher in case Wise struggled, that's fine. But why start Obermueller? Leave him in the bullpen and use him if Wise struggles, not the other way around.

 

Just dumb.

 

And those numbers are hilarious and disturbing at the same time, MB.

If Obermueller is the great hitter in the lineup then take him off the mound and stick him in the field. Stick Brooks out there also. That would shake things up. Neds shaking up really worked tonight for ZERO runs. Yost is beoming as big of an idiot as Lopes. It is a condition of being too close to the yeast.

The Brewers seem to bring every other team back into the wild card hunt. Get the brooms ready again. Ned has lost control of the ship and Cinderella has lost her slippers.

One of these seasons there will be a point to watching the Crew in August. Thank god for fantasy football.

 

So, for all the people who gave Yost ALL the credit for the Brewer's success earlier this year, is he now at fault for their post all star slump? Can he only get positive credit? I mean, maybe he's not motivating them anymore. Maybe when the team see's Trent batting second they get "unbattled"?

I'm kind of glad Obermueller started. I got most of my todo list out of the way. If for some unknown reason to god he stays in the rotation, I think I'll make every day he starts "Oby day". This will be the day where I'll do the most painful work available and know that it can't be more painful than watching him pitch.

The only good thing about that game was that I recorded it on my HTPC and with a 10-second fast forward jump between pitches, I started it at 9:45 and was done by 10:30. I still can?t believe I watched it all.

 

That was brutal. I should take up less detrimental habits like drinking. It is kind of sad knowing deep down that my cynical butt is planted forever on the Brewer bandwagon.

rebmun, there are few interesting concepts in your lineup.

 

First: center field will become a defensive PLUS for us with two guys playing there, I like that

 

Next: Jenks playing second base will show him just what it is like on the other end when he is batting

 

Finally: Helms at short is brilliant. He will have more time to make sideways motion before the ball is past him.
