Uggh, everytime I hear their first baseman's name, I get that stupid Sister Sledge song stuck in my head. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

BlazinWings The Kiss of Death

Not like it can make much difference either way. Both would be arby-eligible after 2007, and free agents after 2010 if Hendrickson were to come up after June 1.

I just don't see the need to rush Hendrickson when Saenz has shown he can do the job, and his clock has started. But Saenz's performance leads me to think that maybem the Brewers could push Hendrickson's ETA to June 2005, and thus, that would make Hendrickson arby-eligible after 2008, and a free agent after 2011.

One more year from Hendrickson is worth it, I think.

The way I understood Ned on the radio today was they were only going to bring up Capuano if the bullpen was heavily used today.

Otherwise he's going to go with Wise, Burba, Brooks combo with Cap making one more rehab start at AAA.

The only way Cap was going to come up was, as Ned joked "if the game goes 14 innings again today", but if the bullpen is fresh he was going to go with a committee of guys saturday to make sure Capuano is fully ready to retrun.

Best thing to do is pull Davis after this inning.

He gave eight innings, and there has to be someone the Crew can put out there in a no-pressure situation (Bennett?) for the last inning of this series.

Again, Sanez or Hendrickson would accrue the same amount of time if brought up. So why are you pinning for the guy who has the most yet to prove?

Barring injury (knock on wood!), Hendrickson will definitely be in the starting rotation on opening day 2005. My prediction is that he will get called up in June and be in the rotation for good thereafter. If you've got the talent in the minors, why wait 'til 6/05 to bring the guy up??? You can only be so patient.

Ford again? Did they have anyone else available?

Edit: I guess they just wanted to get a save situation for Kolb.

Clancy,

Saenz has made ONE start. To come to the conclusion that he is MOST ready after one start is silly. Also, I think you don't understand how the arbitration rules work. My understanding is he has acrued a few days towards arby, not that he has started a "clock" that is now ticking.

Didn't we already have a huge thread clarifying this? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well to this point Ned has done a great job managing he stretched Davis about as far as he could without watching him blow-up then took full advantage by using his worst reliever to finsih off a weak line-up in the ninth with a 4 run lead. If Ford can't hold this lead he needs to be demoted immediately.

I think the Ben Ford experiment is officially over. Time to DFA him. Not like anyone will claim him.

EDIT: I was kind of happy to see Ford. I have Kolb in fantasy baseball, and I figured he Ford would get Kolb into a save situation :)

Is this the swan song for Ford? Please? Really the Brewers already have two long men in Kinney and Bennet (to a degree) and Ford has shown nothing ever in the major leagues.

He can't and he should.

Edit to Reply to next Post:

I don't think anyone is blaming Yost. Everyone would have did the same thing. You definitely want to go to your least important reliever. It just happens that it is Ford and he can't get anyone out. Time to try another option.

Ford does suck, but you cant fault Yost for giving him an inning with a 4 run lead against the worst offensive team in major league history.......

Hopefully this will speed up the processes of sending Ford outta town.

I like the fact that Ford is throwing strikes but you need to throw balls too. They last two batters that he faced he them both 0-2 and threw 3 more strikes no balls and two were hit for singles.

Nice Sweep. That is the sign of a good team. Beat up on the bad ones.

Break out the SWEEP SUITS!

Don't even joke about crap like that. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

At 18-16 going into a weekend series against the Braves should draw some nice crowds.

Weather should cooperate some what. 60's and Sunny Sat. and Sun. I would like to go to another game with the roof open. If I am not mistaken only 1 game so far with The Keg tapped. That was "The Comeback Game".

At 18-16 now. Wow.

Middle of May and we are in third place in the NL Central. If the Dodgers can make a comeback against the Cubs today we'll be in second place.

Hot damn.

Reichert, not Adams. They appear to be trying Adams seriously as a starter. That's a worthwhile experiment, but he has only had two starts at Indy. He needs more time there.

I still think this team won't be near the wild card, but I love how they keep making me dout it. As it is, the simple math compels me to up my preseason projection of 72 wins to 75.

Greg.
