Could the brewers be the third team?

 

If they are, Balfour would be a very small part of a larger deal.

 

And off hand, I really can't think of who we'd be trying to acquire from either of the Sox'.

That's a heck of a lot to get for Balfour.

 

EDIT: And yes, I know he's been awful this year (and the two previous in limited innings) in the bigs.

my bet would be a young staarting pitcher...someone from the Florida or carolina league...that how doug usually rolls...

I don't think Weeks is involved. It sounds like a player for player deal. He also said that there are two teams from the Central inquiring. I'm sorry, I know more but cannot say more. We should hear all of the answers (if he is correct) by Sunday at the latest...

Ok, now I need to call my pal. We we working on a deal for a AA lefty. I believe he was a 3rd round pick 2-3 years ago of Detroits...

This is a blow to the folks in the comments section of On the DL who say "Seth McClung" any time a blind item involves an AL East player.

 

Basically, McClung is bad. Very bad.

Yep, he's Grant, only younger and from West Virginia, and most importantly, he can go to the minors.

 

You can hope he'll find his niche in the 'pen. He's obviously got talent, as TB allowed him to be horrible for ages.
