Braun lifted , injured diving for a ball, in Sunday's lineup

Sounds third baseman Ryan Braun doubled in his lone plate appearance before being lifted for a pinch-hitter in the fourth inning. It was the prospects Pacific Coast League-leading 16th extra-base hit of the season and his ninth double. Sixteen of Brauns 24 hits on the year have gone for extra bases.

 

 

I took this off of the Sounds web site. They make no mention of any

reason why!

Like somebody else said, it was probably either an unnoticeable injury like a stomach virus or he was called up.

This must be an injury or illness, because if he was called up, it would be announced already. Hope its not serious, as last nights game clearly showed the need for Braun, when Houston pitched around batters to get to Counsel numerous times.

If Braun was called up, I would guess Hart was DL'd due to his wrist.

Any input as to why Braun isnt in the lineup tonight either?

they had 2 3B play tonight...and neither was Braun... its a possibility he could be sick i guess.

Braun has come out of the game today in the 5th. Maybe he is still feeling the injury a little bit, I hope not though.

Braun ejected after breaking both legs, both shoulders, getting the flu, and then violently throwing up on the umpire.
