  1. Thanks for finding that!
  2. Yeah, they usually update the time at some point. I adjusted at last year, and then they re-adjusted it. So I think i'll just wait for them to do it.
  3. Today's game will be broadcast on FSN. Don't forget to tune in at 12:30PM for the pre-game show.
  4. [ Apparently, though, you're right for not listing his time with the Colorado Rockies. ] Here was my reply: MY COMPLAINT IS THAT YOUR CAPS LOCK KEY SEEMS TO BE BROKEN AND YOU HAVE NO CONCEPT OF CORRECT SPELLING OR PUNCTUATION. I appreciate you noticing the error with the site, and we'll correct it before the season starts. But next time, we politely request that you not be such a prick. -Brian I'm glad we're not professionals, and I'm not mandated by anyone to be polite.
  5. Got this in the email box tonight: MY COMPLAINT IS THAT ON YOUR "PLAYER PROFILE" ON JEFF CIRILLO YOU MENTION NONE OF HIS TIME WITHTHE BREWER'S IN THE '90'S OR SEATTLE OR SAN DEIGO YOU TREAT HIM AS A MINOR LEAGUER WHO HAS JUST CAME UP FROM THE MINORS. change it you idiots AND YOU CALL YOURSELFS BASEBALL FANS
  6. welcome aboard to both chuckie and eric......
  7. [ So I've been listening to all the games for free up until now and today they want me to pay for the 2005 season. Not sure what I did to deserve that. ] You must have paid for a 2004 subscription. That subscription expired today.
  8. It's safe to go back now... I just need to touch up a couple of cosmetic things.
  9. [ I just hope to God Brian doesn't hold out for too much cash and get replaced by Omar Epps. ] I gots to get paid. I have to put food on the table.
  10. As some of you may have realized with today's transactions, this has been fixed.
  11. I got a response saying the issue is now being looked at by the techs. I'll create a new temporary Major League fan forum. We can then move those threads to the major league forum, once it's fixed.
  12. [ Maybe someone should approach the Brewers front office about a limited press pass at Miller Park. ] The press pas issue is actually being pursued on a couple of different angles as we speak. This is something Shannon's working on, and we'll report back when we find out one way or another...
  13. [ Can you say "intern"? BF.net can offer internships (by definition unpaid) to journalism majors to run around WI and get the dirt on all kinds of baseball. From Brewers, to T-Rats, to Colleges. Maybe even take a trip to Nashville. ] Would a college really go for that? I'm getting visions of Kramerica industries dancing in my head.
  14. I've posted a public message in the ezBoard bug forum, so hopefully that will light a fire under their butts. I'm guessing when normal business hours roll around, there'll be some movement on this issue.
  15. [ How much is "a ton"? I get 120GB/month on my service, and I don't pay that much for hosting. (My plan is usually ~$10/month, but I paid $9.12 for an entire year as part of a promotion.) ] The message boards use 31 GB per month, as it is right now. Part of what's not factored into the massive bandwidth-type accounts is CPU usage. With ezBoard, it's all measured by page views, so CPU usage is pretty much free. Many of the other accounts start jacking up the price if you begin to use too much memory or CPU. My Brewerfan.net server is a bit more expansive than your normal el-cheapo account because I need the ability to set up custom software. I can't just take a server with MySQL and PHP and be done with it. Eventually I hope to get to a point where i'll host Brewerfan and the fan forum on a really great dedicated server, so I can write my own baseball-oriented fan forum software. Until then, I really don't feel like starting over with a new forum software/host.
  16. I submitted a trouble ticket to ezBoard. Hopefully they'll get things fixed more sooner than later.
  17. [ Glover seems to have locked up the #5 spot in the rotation and both JDLR and Obermueller will pitch in long/middle relief. I'm not reading anything into this. ] Bill, do you really think Santos is still "pencilled" into that #3 slot no matter what happens between now and the opening of the season?
  18. Does it seem odd to anyone else that JDLR is starting over Obemueller today? With the de-emergence of Victor Santos this spring, is it possible that Jorge is being tested for a role in the rotation?
  19. There's a bug in the notification code. If a player gets transferred from Milwaukee to Nashville, for example, and you have both Milwaukee and Nashville turned on for your notifications, you'll get one notification for each city. I'll fix that today.
  20. Catch your Milwaukee Brewers on TV tonight as they take on the Texas Rangers on Fox Sports North at 8PM Central.
  21. It might not be the worst idea in the world to piggy back starters: Obie/Glover or Obie/Wise or Wise/Glover with the odd man out available for long relief or emergency starts. I hate to sound like a broken record, but I don't trust Obie in innings 4-6.
  22. Much obliged, J. Well.... I'm guessing this will be the last call for Lil' Ben. On the plus side, he settled in after his disastrous first inning last time around. Time to get over the jitters, Ben. You're a big leaguer now!... go get 'em.
  23. The cool thing is that if you register as an ezSupporter, it applies towards any ezBoard out there. So as an added bonus, feel free to hit the Kentucky Angling Forum ( p207.ezboard.com/bkentuckyanglingforum ) as many times as you want on a given day.
