    After sitting through last night's game (Scout night), I began to wonder. Maybe Bill Hall can pitch. If so, some of our woahs could be solvdd.

    I don't think the issue is with trusting our scouting department. I think what was meant, also my POV, is that you don't know what the future holds. Key injuries could kill a season or two. Off-seasons by key players could do it also. The idea is to strike while you have the opportunity. Keep building for the future, but use the "hot prospect" tag to supplement the present.

    We have a plain 21 inch mower that's not self-propelled. Briggs motor, cheap (less than $150), and works great. I used the money I saved on not buying self-propelled and bought a grinder to sharpen the blade and a weed-whacker. It is a rear-bagger, which I prefer. EDIT: Forgot to add - with lots of trees, you may be better off not buying self-propelled.

    The entertainment industry is shutting down while waiting for the next two passings to complete the double trifecta.

    To add on to NeedMoreFans comment, before we had AC we would use a big window fan in both of our bedroom windows - one blowing in and another blowing out. Worked great as our bedroom was a corner room.

    WOOT OFF!!! Forget it, it's done already. Not even a box of chorizo.

    What else needs to be considered is the PR hit with the casual fan should a "selling off" occur. All the goodwill built up over years with this type of fan would be wiped out if the sell-off occurred this soon. It would be "the same old Brewers." If we're out of it at the end of July, trades used to bring in talent might be viewed differently, but right now it would be seen as a betrayal by many of the fans.

    SZB, From what I gather from the posts, it sounds like the backup plan trade is in place, but the preferred trade is still being worked out. Should the preferred trade not work out, Doug pulls the trigger on the backup plan. If I'm wrong on this, somebody please set this confused soul straight.

    What will happen is the Cards will drill one of ours, warnings will go out to both benches, and we'll be unable to do anything about it - short of sending in Big Red. It's the classy Cardinal thing to do.
