  1. If it's TGJ, it would be a PR move for the Pads - especially after trading Peavy (assuming it goes through). EDIT: Geez Topper, ya just beat me to it!
  2. The Crew plays in Detroit the weekend of June 19-21. Go see a game or two, hop across the border and get the rum cream. Win-win.
  3. Migosh, the bacon salt is killing it.
  4. I was watching my tv late one night When my eyes beheld a welcome sight From Fielder's bat the ball began to rise And cleared the fence, out of sight He did the mash He did the Macha mash The Macha mash It was a ballpark smash He did the mash The ball was gone in a flash He did the mash He did the Macha mash From the rookie leagues to the low A east To the Texas league where the hitters feast The players came armed with bats To give a jolt to our hometown fans They did the mash They did the Macha mash The Macha mash It was a ballpark smash They did the mash The ball was gone in a flash They did the mash They did the Macha mash The bombers were having fun Untucking shirts, having won St. Louie's whining just begun Joined by Brenly and his bums Miller Park was rockin', Hell's Bells played on Trevor closing the door to a deafnin' sound The Brewer faithful on their hallowed ground Cheerin' the last out going down They did the mash They did the Macha mash The Macha mash It was a ballpark smash They did the mash The ball was gone in a flash They did the mash They did the Macha mash Out from his pressbox, Uke's voice did ring Get up, get outta here was his thing With a twist came Bernie down his slide Another Braun homer gone for a ride It's now the mash It's now the Macha mash The Macha mash And it's a ballpark smash It's now the mash The ball was gone in a flash It's now the mash It's now the Macha mash DiFelice is smokin', Yo is fanning the side The Macha mash is now going nationwide For BF dot net this mash was meant too When we get to the series, let the Doorman through Then we can mash Then we can Macha mash The Macha mash And do the ballpark smash Then we can mash The ball was gone in a flash Then we can mash Then we can Macha mash
  5. Soooo, you could have a yooper state trooper playing euchre listening to Uecker calling Looper?
  6. Thanks again, Brian, and all others who make this possible!
  7. My apologies Brian, as I should remember from last year, but how can I donate (PayPal, etc.).
  8. I would wait until after the first round of interleague games. Let Nelson DH or field in most of them and then go from there. I would think it's harder for younger players to ride the bench and occasionally pinch hit than a vet.
  9. Nottso - I'll keep a special bag of tomatoes just for you http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif Another fun activity is the booze bottle air band (blowing over the top). Usually the most fun is in tuning the bottles.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. Patrick - seconded on the hold music. Personal gripe: the hold music for our company while waiting for a phone meeting to start can only be described as robot porno. Anybody whose ever heard this will know.
  11. Putting steaks on the grill for the first time this year and being in mid-season form. They were done perfectly, the fat around the edges was singed and they were juicy.
  12. Proof that I have too much time on my hands at the moment. For a while I've noticed that the Lambeauleap forum link on the Brewerfan Yuku pages links to lambeauleap.net instead of lambeauleap.yuku.com. Minor, I know, but I figured I'd mention it.
  13. That got my mind rolling. Maybe some of the smarter folks here can improve, or shoot down, this extension of JonnyLungs' idea. This requires a top that is not hinged - or attached. Insulate the bottom rim of the lid with the door guard stuff that's used on the edge of car doors. Leave a couple of 9v batteries, in series of course, with one wire attached to the bottom and the other attached to the top. It would work best if at least one of the side handles were missing. This might be a fun experiment to do with an old charcoal grill that you wouldn't mind playing around with.
  14. Stick with impressed as it's a baseball movie. I'd be alarmed if it were Neverending Story minutiae. More useless trivia, the fancy restaurant used in the film was Grit'z Pzazz on Good Hope Road, which is no longer open.
  15. Patrick, if you're like me you have to re-login every month or two - not really sure how often. I can tell because I have "yuku Welcome DatHoser!" in the upper left corner of the browser window. If not, there's the login/password stuff in it's place.
  16. jazzytrav, did you ever see Dodgeball? Next on ESPN8 - the ocho! EDIT: Thank you, Gobias!
  17. I had that problem with Directv early on until I fine tuned the dish myself. I just took the tuner and 13" tv outside and it's been very solid since. I only lose the signal during times when I should - extremely heavy storms, etc.
  18. Thanks for the update, WSR! This team is going to depend on offense this year, much like the early 80's Packers.
  19. Just sent a nasty gram to Directv. Not like it'll do any good. They'll just reply in their usual ignorant fashion and try to sell me a new package. Normally I can tolerate this type of idiocy, but with Braun getting injured it just added jet fuel to the fire.
  20. Thanks obsessed, I for one love learning about this! Maybe after I get laid off eventually, I can go into something like this. This stuff is really fascinating to me.
  21. Now THAT's the FtJ we all know and love.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif Back to the weather. I love watching radar loops and trying to predict when we get hit be precip. (yes I'm a complete loser as that's my definition of fun). However, the track of the latest band of precip. is very hard to predict. I guess we'll see it when we see it.
  22. That sounds like the meteorological equivalent of "We'll be there between 10 and 4."
  23. Agreed Patrick. What really kills me is the cope saying "I can do this to you" or something to that effect. While there is allusion to racism (not at all proven, but possible), it's the abuse of power, not to mention the failure to "serve the people," that got to me, and fondy too.
  24. The story on Ryan Moats being pulled over as his mother-in-law is dying of cancer. This cop should be sent to Siberia. LINK EDIT: More specific title.
  25. You and me both, my friend, you and me both. . . Better yet, Suppan is part of the trade. Sigh.
