  1. Couldn't get through for the BOC. It's a traveshamockery!!
  2. My wife and I may have walked right by you. We were there Sat. night, although we went upstairs where it was a little quieter.
  3. OPEC is planning on meeting Nov. 18. Still got time for it to drop a little more.
  4. It's rather bizarre that both drives went bad with hours of each other. A possibility is that a controller (ide or sata) on the motherboard went bad. I don't know of local places that do data recovery, but one thing you could try is an external hard drive enclosure. They're usually around twenty bucks, so if it doesn't work you're not out much, plus you can use it in the future for an external backup. Just try one of the drives in it on a friend's pc. EDIT: Did your friend remove the drives and try them elsewhere? If so, ignore the part above and chalk that up to me not reading completelyhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. 1982 ALCS. It CAN happen (again).
  6. Like buck rut. bullox - love the idea!
  7. <---see my avatar Plus, for a majority of our starting lineup, I've seen better plate discipline from my son's little league team - seriously. Thank God for the vent thread. I can whine a little and lower my blood pressure a few points.
  8. They just fixed it. It's 669. I had the same problem. I was ready to chew somebody out bigtime.
  9. Marriage counseling. Being married for almost two decades to someone who demanded we be open about everything from our pasts, yet kept her own not-so-minor secrets, even from during our marriage. It's been a rough month.
  10. Nice one, trwi7, from my all-time favorite SB episode (thankfully I have kids, so I can "legally" watch it in front of my wife who hates it). My song is like me, a little dated. "Break My Stride" by Matthew Wilder.
  11. With apologies to Night Ranger. . . "Mota's in. It's smacked to left in flight. Ball's flying out of sight. He lost the lead tonight." Kudos to Prince, however (too lazy to post again in silver lining). I called him out a few weeks ago, but he's turned it around and is making me eat crow, which in this case is delicious.
  12. A Roomba is up there now - smoke 'em if you got 'em.
  13. Not to mention 15K+ people massed in one area for a cause and the MJS barely acknowledges it. Oh yeah, they weren't one of the sponsors. BTW, we were walking in it for our two year old, a special needs kid who spent most of his first year at Children's and still goes there regularly. We were the ones in darker tie-dyed shirts towards the end of the walk. EDIT: spelling
  14. Whenever I see Hawing's latest avatar, I think of the "Blue Milk" forum from the old starwarsfan.org. It was their off-topic forum. Sometimes it takes me a while to remember what I had for dinner last night, but I remember stuff like this. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  15. To the Cubs: "Instant karma's gonna get ya"
  16. Take a couple of Excedrin, drink LOTS of water, and pat yourself on the back for a great post - not to mention enduring all that in Sawx Country.
  17. This also sends a signal to not only the players, but all others in the organization - complacency will cost you. Sticking by your 'battlers," following your "gut instincts" against any shred of logic, and not reacting to the urgency of the situation will hurt you. I'd start a "Who's the next manager" thread, but my threads tend to die a fast and horrible death. Also, what do I do with my "Yosted" shirt.
  18. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff144/DatHoser/billtcat.jpghttp://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff144/DatHoser/embarrass.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff144/DatHoser/train_wreck-730041.jpg
  19. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff144/DatHoser/billtcat.jpg Bill says it best for our flailing Crew.
  20. How about Puerto Rico? That way Soriano can fall down on a rampway. . .
  21. Thanks, JimH5, I busted out laughing at work on that and had more than a few glances in cubie-land. Doesn't SC Johnson do something with using a landfill to create power?
  22. Yep, it's been that long since I've been to a live game. (holds head in shame)
  23. Make it four. Picture bottom of the 9th last night: ONE - TWO -THREE - FOUR We Want MORE!! We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread, already in progress.
  24. I'll give you that the Crew could pick it up in the post-season as anything's possible. The Cards were coming off 105 & 100 win seasons, so to their fans that season was a letdown. The Brewers have yet to prove they can win when it matters. I hope to God I'm wrong, but I don't see this team doing anything if they make the playoffs while slumping. That said, I'm still optimistic that they can turn it around soon and make this a moot point. I want them to go in on a roll. A young team like this needs to end the regular season with a bang, not a whimper. Hopefully the veteran presence on this team will make this happen.
