Well if it's strictly Eth you could move it back over to a CEX and only pay the exchange fees and not Eth gas. Though I like the degenerate stuff but will ignore it if it's on Eth. I wonder if a lot of developers are starting to feel the same way. People pointing at the one analyst who made a "ETF delayed" article, but I'm more inclined to think it was just the big boys flushing out the half-billion dollars of longs out there. A person would do well to time their entries and exists in the market to how overinflated the leverage is. But oh well, the market hadn't seen a red weekly in something like five weeks.

I deleted my post. Looks like both The Foz and the Property Brother are alive and well. Happy to say that the reports of their death have been greatly exaggerated. Not sure what kind of horrible, horrible site I saw that on to do this to people. -
I read not long ago that the Packers as is would only be $6M below the cap next year. Does waiving Bachtiari really clear up that much cap space for rookies and then signing a big name FA like Buddha Baker? I have this feeling based on not much that Kenny Clark will be waived next year.

Tom Grossi saying it was because Jaire went out for the coin toss last game but he's not a captain. I think we all assume there's a lot more to it than that. Crossing my fingers his beef is with Joe Barry and that it'll all be solved the Monday after the final game.

It's expensive, it fluctuated between 8Mb (off wi-fi when raining) and 60Mb (from their application), but having Starlink internet is sure way better than the 0.3 Mb I was getting before.

Was being a bit facetious. I think everyone respects we're rolling now. Decent bit earlier than usual but it makes sense with the ETF (hopefully) on it's way. Plus you can tell where we're at in the market by just how many insane price predictions we're starting to see on crypto-youtube. My internet speed has made using a dex about impossible. But I have a few spitcoins to throw some fun-money at when the year rolls over. Weirdly in a position where a total collapse won't change my retirement situation, nor will a 10x, but a 30x might, and so I'm more inclined to take a few extra swings at the fences. Lot of good tokens on ETH but holy moly the gas fees in and out would take away any profit you'd make. It's ridiculous. I've hated ETH for a long time, too.

Ultimately it's only the small-market fans who don't like this system. It would need a total collapse of attendance at small-market games for MLB to care, and the numbers don't show that's happening. It's like it or leave it.

I remember George Steinbrenner noting, and he made a good point, that he spent the maximum of what he was able to on player payroll, and adding revenue sharing only meant that [the Marlins owner] just got to pocket that much more money. The only way I see to fix it is a financial audit of every team with a heavy revenue sharing distributed among every team, and then a mandated player payroll range based on that. I've heard the argument that a team with a lot of young players may not need to spend all that much, but there's always room to add a FA, even on a one-year deal to meet any payroll minimums. Maybe the owners get something like keeping 100% of their concessions money to keep encouraging strong attendance. I recall all this was a big issue toward the end of Selig's tenure. And his "solution" was to add playoff teams to say "see, now small-market teams have a better chance." Heck, last year owners wanted 45% of teams to make the playoffs. But ultimately doesn't MLB want this, that the Dodgers and the Yankees of the baseball world have the best financial chance at making the WS and getting that sweet viewership money? A Brewers/Royals WS would have twelve viewers.

I was about to buy a $200 grain mill, and my parents gave me $200 for Christmas and told me I *must* buy a grain mill with the money and not spend it on booze. But that didn't mean now I bought a $400 grain mill. It only means I used their $200 on the mill and could spend my own $200 on booze. If I were interested in pocketing all the revenue from my baseball team, throwing me more money with whatever conditions on it doesn't necessarily change the outcome.

Parents nearly fell for the Amazon refund scam today. Had downloaded Anydesk and left for the bank before calling one of us. We had the bank freeze their credit for a while, they're getting a new computer and new SS numbers. I thought that was a little bit much but the brother got upset at me saying that, and especially since he dealt with it there was no reason for me to push it. And he's right that could help prevent identity theft. The brother told them about how they can use AI to spoof a grandkid's voice and I said how they can use html to fake bank balances. Well that was a scare for the day.

Giannis moving without the ball so much better lately and actually trying to get involved with some pick and rolls, too. Heck, our offense still has as much room to grow as our defense does. By the end of the season our offense could get downright ridiculous.

If Daniel Jones can get $42M and Geno Smith can get $33 for one good season, $30M for Love is a steal. I wonder if the NFL will ever copy the NBA and institute maximum salaries so that the QB position doesn't suck up all of the cap money.

If anything I'm lower on Love than I was at the beginning of the year. How many times has he gotten bailed out by pass interference calls on his missed deep balls? And he's been forcing throws to covered guys more than I thought he would. But I'll be curious and hopeful that in the offseason he can work on things and come back improved. That and an OC better able to assess his skills and design an offense around it.

Of course who knows if Stroud would look anywhere near as good if he were throwing for Carolina this year. I'd imagine there's a lot of Sam Darnolds and Mac Jones' who'd have been Pro Bowlers if only they played for different teams.

Even after long-term visits you still take a bit of a leap. A cousin has lived in Puerto Rico a couple years and he's gone from "love it" to "good and bad" to now "I hate it here." Or situations, particularly in non-Western countries can change quickly. Ecuador is a popular expat country, but apparently the crime has gotten a lot worse and a lot of expats are moving away because of it. And there's certainly tradeoffs to make even staying in the US. "Familiar culture" is a big thing even moving within the US. One thing I'm trying to start doing is figuring out just where those tradeoffs rank and what those priorities are.

At first I thought I had to be vague about it since his first assignment required armed escorts everywhere he went, but now I see it's on his Linkedin, so I guess I'm ok:) A relative of mine is a high-up with the State Department including having served in Georgia. I haven't asked him about the current situation, but as time gets closer he'll certainly be in the know as far as safety and living conditions and the like in Georgia or anywhere else I might be considering going.
