  1. Yesterday the co-workers said my belly was smaller and I must be losing weight. That was sure nice. Still fasting 14-17 hours most days and mostly by default since it's easy to just not eat before I start night shift. Long-term goal is if I can lose the belly completely, then I could bulk up and try to add some muscle (I'm skinny-fat), but that's long-long-long term and I'd only do so if I were confident of having a diet/exercise plan that worked well for me. Until then I'll be plenty happy just losing a belly I've had for 20 years. Still got a ways to go, though. Last year was at 240, now 218, goal maybe 200. Extra bonus for me I've been doing deadlifts with a hex bar and it actually hasn't hurt my back (which is a total mess and goes out on me about three times a year). I think it's helping me stand up a lot straighter, which is probably why the belly looks smaller. I only deadlift about 180 lbs and do two reps at a time to total 10. I'm too scared to try more weight and hurt my back. I'd never really eaten much fruit because I've done a lot of keto and it says no to fruit sugars. But based on all these comments I'm going to get a bunch next time I go shopping. Blueberries, cream and stevia on top sounds really tasty.
  2. Almost surprising they're not going to Galinari more. Once he's able to get a switch onto Jrue he's able to do about whatever he wants. I've been judging how well the Bucks' defense is playing by how many long 2s Atlanta takes. They can still hit a ton of them, but they're such low-value shots I'm plenty happy to see a lot of them.
  3. Atlanta radio guy has a stopwatch for Giannis as if NBA time is exact seconds. It's really annoying.
  4. I'm on night shift today so I'm fine that it's later. At least I'll get to watch the second half. Although in my line of work people tend to save their nonsense until you've only got 15 minutes to go in your shift.
  5. Yeah, Young has another couple of 45+ games in him this series.
  6. So I guess now we'll see all the scrubs get time and just immediately jack up 3s to try and make the box score.
  7. Challenge that? Nah, that was definitely an illegal pick.
  8. Why is Forbes shooting so soon on the clock? Slow down!
  9. I used to be an editor and there's certainly a lot that'll get missed or could use improvement in a resume and cover letter. Plus as a former proofreader, the more you read something the harder it gets to spot the mistake(s). Although I can't speak specifically on the quality of a service. Or if you're so willing, maybe you could delete some of the identifying information and post it here? There was a point I had three different resumes depending on the job I was applying to. I also liked using the description in the job posting and using those same words in my resume.
  10. Let's just do a 130-team tournament and we won't even have to bother with a regular season! Won't somebody think of the money? I don't like even the four-team playoff. If they go to 12 I can't imagine it'll end there once the #13 team says woe is me. Although I'd love to hear how the NCAA thinks more football will help academics.
  11. Yeah, there's a certain selfishness that some people have. You wouldn't do it in your own home because there's nobody else to clean it up. But out in public your own mess is somebody else's problem.
  12. What most stuck out to me was a team that rebounded just like Jabari Parker. They just stood there in the paint and waited to see if the ball would bounce in their laps. There was a late play where Capella just ran up in front of them to get the offensive rebound. This is despite the fact that Milwaukee is the bigger team. Did Budenholzer make them do wind-sprints Monday and Tuesday or something, because they definitely looked like the more-tired team. You could see the last two minutes the Hawks hit desperation mode and started jacking up long 3s as if they were down a ton. Milwaukee didn't lose because of Trey Young, but because of the lack of rebounding, not boxing out Capella and others who put shots back, and not actively fighting for rebounds. I don't care of Young gets 50 every single game of the series--he's their entire offense, after all--so long as nobody else gets any points.
  13. Young gives his game jersey to his father. Great gesture, but pretty sure he gets fined/charged a lot for that. Jerseys don't belong to him or the Hawks. There's a guy in the locker room who gets paid to collect them.
  14. And I thought that team was all Trey Young. Sure isn't.
  15. Harden's backup is Mike James, who shoots about 35% and can't rebound. Play him and the Bucks could have ignored him. And they were already playing a guy you could ignore.
  16. I like the matchup of Jrue guarding Trae Young better than having to face Embiid. Plus the Bucks can get lazy on defense and Ben Simmons' activity would really hurt. I think Philadelphia wins this game, though.
  17. Yeah I'm right there with you. I think the Bucks are a heavy favorite over Atlanta and less of one over Philly but still a favorite. Either West team is absolutely capable of beating the Bucks, but man oh man was tonight fun. I’m cautiously optimistic about their chances. Unlike recent years, the Warriors aren’t coming out of the West, nor do they have to contend with LeBron and his super friends. Kawhi Leonard scares me a little because of his past playoff success. Kawai might have a torn ACL.
  18. They said three days off, so I guess Wednesday. If it were possible I'd take the week off so I wouldn't have to work during the games.
  19. I knew Durant was the best player in the League before this, but that series was something better than that. Wow.
  20. My stream crashed with a minute left then skipped to four seconds left.
  21. I'm a dummy thinking we could hold them off for six whole seconds.
  22. Durant goes up and I immediately think "yeah I'll give him that". That was unreal.
  23. They're playing like they're desperate now. They look defeated already.
  24. That means Middleton or Jrue make the winning shot, right?
  25. I thought it was called the "Deer Stand." Why do the announcers refuse to call it that?
