  1. Who does go deep into games anymore? It's not the 70s, 5 inning starts and 25 man bullpens are common.
  2. I have Uverse and haven't been able to get it. I just thought they shut the app down when the name switched to Bally. Working fine on my LG smart TV with Spectrum login
  3. This can only mean the value of my Gauntlet bobblehead has skyrocketed. Good luck in Atlanta, Mr. October!!
  4. It's not the most awe inspiring big 3 you'll ever see, but it could work out much better than it looks like on paper. All 3 have different games, and no debate who the alpha dog is, no drama. Now it's about learning how to play together and get the most out of the talent.
  5. It's still possible, but I think it's dead. Just my opinion. Holiday better be playing almost every minute in the playoffs. So you have DD, Forbes, Pat, and now Teague at the other guard position. I'm not sure what Rivers brings to the table, and there's not wnough minutes for those other four to begin with. Even if they play 3 guards here and there. They all shoot the 3 better than Rivers, which is the main thing you want off the bench. The only thing Rivers gives you is defending the PG better those other guys, but for only a few minutes a game?
  6. Dissapointed Cooper Hummel wasn't called up to start in the place of Garcia.
  7. How is that optimistic? Simple. There's a direct correlation between outrage about the lineup, pitching changes, etc. and the Brewers winning games.
  8. It is interesting, but $88MM of the cap is for Rodgers and the 2 Smiths, none of which will be on the roster anywhere close to that.
  9. Counsel is an idiot on the IGT in 14 hours.
  10. Ballboy 1 Highheat 0
  11. Not getting a Highheat vibe, I'm sure ballboy will be proven to be right. Then again, my motto is trust but verify.
  12. Yea, and I have no problem running it back if it comes to that. One of those years where there's plenty of players that could improve over last year. But, much like the angst about the Brewers lack of moves every December, there's still montgs to make moves, and the draft of course.
  13. They're not very good, but they don't need to pretend to be the #1 or #2 guys on the Nets. Really nice additions for them, provides some toughness. Ditto for Drummond on the Lakers. Blake provides toughness? Meh...not sure about that. In his case maybe dirty more than toughness, but still. Nets and Lakers don't need offense. But you can always use a guy who can rebound in the playoffs and play defense vs certain players. Drummond, for example, is unplayable if the opposing team has a small ball lineup on the court. But he can play against guys like Gobert. That's what these moves are all about, using guys a certain way in the playoffs.
  14. Yea, one you watch The Wire and BB you become a TV snob. I will never watch anything on network TV, even the "cable" channels way more miss than hit. It will be interesting come fall when I imagine a ton of Netflix, Prime, etc. series will have new seasons. Until then, I'll continue down the Euro police drama genre.
  15. I have my appts setup through Walgreens. What a clunky system though. Four locations near me showed a bunch of time slots. Select one and it says no time slots available for 2nd shot so you can't make either appt. Why would they show the time slots available then??! Also, every time you search, its back to the beginning and navigate through all the questions. First world problem, I know.
  16. You guys are using a lot of words to say the same thing. You don't have game.
  17. They're not very good, but they don't need to pretend to be the #1 or #2 guys on the Nets. Really nice additions for them, provides some toughness. Ditto for Drummond on the Lakers.
  18. +1 BTW, in the middle of BB rewatch with my wife, since she never saw it.
  19. There are actually tickets available to most/all games other than opening day. That is shocking to me. I fully expected all tickets to be gobbled up by season ticket holders, and only available for a fortune through the secondary market. Edit: I'm old and just ordered tixs for two games, so far, on my mobile phone. Didn't even need the facebook.
  20. Al McGuire couldn't compete with Duke, NC, or Kentucky for the best players so not really the goal to look for in a HC for MU, UW, or really any other school.
  21. Burnes was awful as a starter, until he wasn't. Peralta started strong, then was awful as a starter. That's what happens when a pitcher adjusts to going through a MLB lineup more than once. The learning curve is not linear, there's ups and downs. Houser is more valuable as a SP if he can get it figured out. They only have so many SP, so he would have gotten a shot at some point anyhow this season. Why not find out right off the bat. Finally, this earned a spot talk is sort of 1970s-ish. That's not how rosters are built. And we have no idea what they had Houser working on in ST. He may vwey well be garbage as a SP, if he is move on.
  22. Do you expect CC to say yea, pretty sure he sucks, but we're rolling with Houser"
  23. They are a good team but not a great team. I don't think anyone on that team is a #1 type of a player they are just a bunch of #2's and #3's though they have a bunch of #2's and #3's on their team. They should have a better record than what they have right now but I wouldn't call the Celtics a really good team. That's his point though. Of course they're not a really good team, their record tells us that. But they should be. They were in the EC finals last season with essentially the same team.
  24. It's certainly plausible, especially the Boyle signing. Vikings used to do this for years, so it's very possible.
