  1. It's not perfect, but the alternate is the very real possibility that a crucial call will be blown in a playoff/World Series game that affects the outcome and it can't be changed because the available technology isn't used. I'd rather prevent that travesty and take the bad with the good. Which is why it should be limited to playoffs. If a guy is safe/out at 1b during 162 game season, who cares? All it does is slow down the game, and they still get it wrong too often anyhow.
  2. Replay is never as good or as fast as advertised. Stuck with it now forever, and I hate it. No more enjoyment of a great play because immediate reaction is...it will be reviewed.
  3. All of this a prelude to the box of chocolates that is the Brewers bullpen.
  4. Audio/ video for Packers game is rough. I know it's raining, but I have VHS tapes my dad took from my little league days that have better production value.
  5. First post and a JM Gold reference. You'll fit in just fine!
  6. Peralta- 0 Fly Outs. Just amazing, every out via SO or ground ball. Should have around 11 starts, legit shot to win 20 games.
  7. Crazy. This never happens, I completely forgot it was a day game. Clicked on GameDay just as KRod got the final out!!! Nothing better than picking up a W with no stress.
  8. This just in. Yuni still believes he should be starting at 1B for the Brewers. Any thoughts on my comment about trying Estrada in the 8th inning role?
  9. He's is going to start on Sunday I believe. He is, but that's a road game....
  10. He was in MLB earlier this year, shouldn't be stretch to promote him to low A as quickly as possible. Hope I get to see him pitch in Appleton this year.
  11. Yea Love/Wiggins would have been a great deal for the T Wolves, given the situation. Throwing in Bennett makes it even better. Bennett didn't have a good rookie season, but he looked a lot better this summer. Kudos for the T Wolves to get everything they could for Love, who was leaving anyhow. At the same time, the Cavs didn't exactly get robbed. They have a window to win it all, and wanted Love badly.
  12. Nobody seems to be reliable anymore. At this point I wouldn't even mind trying Estrada in the 8th inning role. Nobody else seems to be able to do it. They really need to swing a trade for a RH. They could swap one of the3 LH they have. They may be on the brink of a move like that, since Gorz seems to be in witness protection lately.
  13. Yes, and it looked like the Brewers would be one of those teams. Until Thornburg went down, KRod came back down to earth and Smith turned into a LOGGY. Flying under the radar during all this was Ryan Braun morphing into Kevin Mench.
  14. Maybe he's at the game, in which case the Giants should save time and just forfeit now. I haven't type lol in ages...but I literally did lol. And I needed that today. I believe the Brewers are what 67-2 in games he's attended?
  15. Where's XXXFielder to reassure me the Brewers will still win tonight, no problem?
  16. If they win 3 or 4 vs the Brewers next road trip I'll be taking them seriously.
  17. I agree. If I had enough talent to play A ball, I would have milked it for every AB I could get. I do think most of these guys who aren't prospects realize they'll never achieve their dream of playing in MLB. But walking up the plate with 6,000 people cheering for you doesn't suck.
  18. Nelson needs to master/ throw his change more often, otherwise he will have a tough time being a top of the rotation guy. The speed of his 4 seamer, 2 seamer, and slider are all too close. Guys can adjust to him by the 3rd AB, and that's what we've been seeing in his starts. They can sit there and wait for something hard. He needs the change (or curve) so batters have that in mind.
  19. Good reminder, I updated mine yesterday to bring it up to 25. Which is great, because I was able to add Ratterree and Brennan.
  20. Exactly, thanks Young G for explaining my point better than I did myself. Anyone not in the plans 3 years from now has no reason to be on the roster today. And I like Irsan, Delfino, and Zaza. If this was a team making a playoff run this year, those would be nice pieces to have. The reason you want to clear cap space for next year and beyond is to create flexibility. It doesn't mean now you can go out and get a LeBron or KD. But now you can lock up a Giannis, Henson, Knight or Parker long term if you wanted to do that. You can bring in a FA or two that fits what you need. All of this starts with Sanders and Mayo. Do they want to move Sanders or not? I don't know, and we don't know all the details as well as the Bucks do. Next, you try to move Mayo and get whatever you can. Moving the other guys isn't as important, they'll be easy to move later in the year anyhow.
