  1. I personally would welcome ARam. I have a feeling that Melvin is going to go with Yuni at SS which would save the Crew a load of money for more offense and BP help. While I'd want a better SS, it is proven that Yuni at the bottom of the line-up is a servicable SS. We went to the NLCS with Yuni at SS so he definitely wasn't a major downfall last year. I want some protection for Braun and ARam definitely provides that. Count me in the group that would enjoy seeing ARam at 3B.

Better defense. Stability for the offense. Yes Please!
  3. Per TH... #[/s]Brewers GM Doug Melvin keeps saying that Betancourt is better than his critics say. Makes me think Yuni is coming back as starting SS. Still very early, but something tells me that TH is wrong as usual.
  4. Isn't this topic being discussed in length in the http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?t=26010/2012-First-Baseman???
  5. Based on the stats provided by mlb.com, looks to me like Parra from AZ deserves the GG for LF's. But, right behind him in 2nd place (IMO) is Braun. It perplexes me everytime member's of this forum claim that Braun is horrible in LF and has no rights being considered a good LF. Out of all NL's this year, he was 1st in Fielding Percentage (.996), Third in Range Factor (1.82), third in Assists (8...Parra had 12), tied for 4th in Double Plays (2...Parra had 5). Yes, I watch every single game and there are moments were I say to myself that Braun should have made a play or that a play should have been called an error when it wasn't because he either dove or didn't dive accordingly. There are many plays though that find myself thankful that we have him in LF. He's fast and can cover a lot of ground. He slides and dives for many balls and gets a lot of outs that others couldn't. Why do many of you feel that he's not worthy of a title like this. Like I said, looks like Parra has him beat statistically, but to claim that his name on the list of potentials is a joke.....well, to me....those claims are a joke. Braun is a good LF and I'm glad we have him out there.
  6. No way they trade Belt. The kid is going to be a stud!
  7. At this point, I'm numb to the whole situation. I know he's leaving, so I'm not going to be upset when he does indeed leave. If...by any chance you are correct and he ends up a Brewer...all the better and I'm sure the upper brass has a plan to have some top tier pitching in place as well. But again...He's already out the door in my mind.

  9. Gotta jump on Garcia early. Big first for the 1-5 in the line-up. 3 hits, 2 runs. Keep those fans quiet, sit back and watch #13 do his stuff! Hopefully the Umpires will be nice to Greinke after Greinke's nice comments he made about them yesterday. Happy Friday everyone and let's get this Game 5!!! Time to bring it back to Mil-Town up 3-2.
  10. This. This just gave me the chills! Let's do this Crew!
  11. I believe it's time for the meat of our order to produce! Let's go Braunny, Fielder, Weeks, JHJ!!!!!
  12. not only did Kotsay just kill a scoring opportunity, but he also killed the growth of Carp's pitch count. WTH?!
  13. The system is seriously flawed if we do not get any first round picks for Prince. This just ruined my day.
  14. Carpenter is going to get rocked tomorrow night. The home crowd is going to be taken out of the game almost immediately. I had a dream too and we won in 5.
  15. Yet minimal have been able to do so. Man....some of these pitches Yo's are clear strikes and Kellog has absolutely zero lienency (sp?)

  17. Thanks for the heads up H4P! I'm one of those sneeky little devils that parks in the VA from time to time. Most likely doing the Bluemound route this weekend.
  18. Bring it on Arizona!!! I'm be there for both games....can't wait to get the party started! Way to go CREW....what a season! Let's keep this magic going!
  19. Yah, but this still STL we're talking about. I sooo wanted TLR, Pujols and Molina to go home crying! Argh! On a more positive note...the Cubs lost their last game of the year.....http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  20. Really? Bases loaded....MLB's gotta be loving this action! C'mon Kimbrel!
  21. My only wish in this series (other than to clinch home field of course) is that Rickie Weeks gets a HR. We need him to get his power stroke back and get it back soon! We all know when Weeks gets on a HR binge, he can carry a team. This is the perfect time for him to find his power. Dear Rickie, Please see the ball better over these next three days and go yard! Sincerely, #5 spot in the line-up
  22. Agree that if Kemp gets the Triple Crown, he's a lock. However, while Braun may not be in the lead for RBI's and HR's....isn't Braun in 1st place for OPS, Slugging %, and Runs? Those are just as important stats for an offensive jugernaut than the Triple Crown categories. Without being a homer, Braun is the clear-cut MVP. Just because Kemp is having a better statistical last week than Braun should not discount what Braun has done the whole year (Not saying Kemp has been a bum all year either). All I'm saying is that I hope Kemp doesn't get the nod just because he's had a great last week of the season (the week that is the most fresh in the minds of the voters). Braun has had the pressure of being a MVP candidate for a winning team all season long while Kemp has had the freedom to be excellent for a team that has only been over .500 3 games ouf the year. IMO, Braun beats out Kemp based on being on Division Championship team.
  23. I'm going tonight. Hoping for an early lead and then some digital scoreboard watching. Go Crew! Go Cubs! Let's end it tonight!
