  1. No matter what they do against the Reds they should be taking calls.
  2. If Hart will take an extension for around $12myear I would do it. I like it less and less the more you go up from there. I think he will want more but I think you have to explore that option. I would have no problem eating most of that contract if the return was good enough.
  3. We have almost the exact same number of runs at this point this year as we did last year. I think it is within 3 runs. I do agree that the bunting and other small ball things may be limiting our run scoring. We really can't afford to be giving up outs like we have this year. I wouldn't have a problem with them picking up a SS if it was a guy who would be around at least next year or longer. If I had to guess that would fall mostly on our pen. I think we had a ridiculous record in one run games last year.(30-18) This year we are 12-15.
  4. We may at this point be a better team than the Reds but the hole we have dug is very deep. Even if we win the series we would still be 5.5 games back unless we sweep.
  5. This year's line is much worse. Almost 30 points of OBP is pretty big.
  6. I thought Gamel did good at 1B defensively but Hart has been really impressive. At this point I would see if we can extend Hart another couple years. I can't wait to see Schafer as our CF but don't want to deplete our depth unless we can get something good in trade. I don't really have a huge problem with how CF looks right now.
  7. True but even after that more players make an impact within their first 1-2 years in basketball or football. Not to many players are at the MLB level at the age of 21-22 compared to the other 2 sports.
  8. Probably more than in the NFL or other pro sports(besides hockey) where draft picks usually can be expected to contribute pretty quickly.
  9. That is close to what I think. Schafer is still pretty young and I wouldn't be to upset to see him in the minors again for most of next year or at lest long enough to gain an extra year out of him. I would keep Gomez though his arby years.(next year I think) I think he is more a 4th OF than a platoon guy in my opinion. We have Aoki for next year and a relatively inexpensive option for another year. I am still more than a little unsure of what we have in him. 2013 RF - Gamel CF - Gomez/Aoki/Schafer later in the year LF - Really? If you don't know... 2014 RF - Gamel CF - Aoki/Schafer LF - Really? If you don't know... or if Hart leaves 1B - Gamel RF - Aoki CF - Schafer LF -Braun
  10. Put Gamel in RF full time. He has a strong arm and seems pretty athletic. Put Aoki and Gomez in CF, trade Morgan.
  11. From my reading HDMI cables make no difference at all. Could be the player or maybe your TV is old. Have you adjusted your TV set at home?
  12. He stinks as a hitter. He should never be near the top of the order.
  13. What is the manager's logic here? Finally Gomez goes to the bottom of the order. Not that I think he should be starting but at least he is way down the order.
  14. Is Weeks hurt? I am wondering because it looks like Ramirwz should be getting as much rest as possible.
  15. I didn't want Hart at 1B before the season started but now I don't want him moved off of 1B. I hope the put Gamel in RF next year.
  16. Have we not suffered enough this season? Doug Melvin thinks no I guess.
  17. Wolf was the second best starting pitcher on the market that year.
  18. The lot really makes it the "Miller Park Entertainment Complex."
  19. Morgan's greatest value right now is holding down younger player's arby clocks. Unless the Brewers are still thinking they can make the playoffs, I doubt Morgan will be around for more than a couple more years with us. He will be a free agent after the 2014 season. If we sell we can be competitive a little sooner but I doubt we will be competitive by 2014 which would be Moragn's last season. True but Morgan really shouldn't be a full time player. Most of his success last year was because he was protected from LHP as much as possible. Of the three you mentioned only Aoki may be a full time player.
  20. Mmm, Lagunitas. Yeah they have good beer at Miller Park. Friday's has some then there are craft beer stands around the park. Quality is pretty subjective. They do have a selection. Unless you don't like any Wisconsin beer, I am pretty sure they will have something outside of BMC that will appeal to almost everybody.
  21. It wouldn't bother me a bit to see both Izturis and Ishikawa DFA'd provided Green more consisted playing time.
