    Yes Escobar is better. We would have a SS for the next few years also. Never going to happen.

    I am not concerned with Braun's spring stats unless he starts striking out every PA. I am concerned with his health and ability to stay on the field.

    I would have gone with Giavotella but it might be somewhat questionable if his OBP will translate to the majors without his lack of power. Getz would be my third choice of the 3.

    Over at BCB it is a pan of lasagna. I think a tree or a an of lasagna would have drawn more walks than Yuni.

    With Aoki and Morgan on the roster, Gomez should never see RHP except late in games. Gomez is not a good hitter at all.

    Was that the game Kapler hit the HR in the 8th inning to break up the no hitter. I was at that game. Kapler hit the HR and my dad and I left. It was something like 9-1 in the end. 10-1 I believe. It wasn't a no hitter he broke up. It was a perfect game. That was the only thing going for the game. Only 4 outs left. It was nice to see Escobar, Salome and Gamel in the game though. That was the year we thought we had a AA team full of future stars. Brantley, Cain, LaPorta, Solome, Escobar, Gamel, Jeffress to name a few.

    Is it a Harry Carey impersonation or an impersonation of Will Farrel doing a Harry Carey impersonation? Yeah, you kinda hit the nail on the head as to why I wasn't in love with it. To be fair, though, almost every HK impression in the post-Will-Ferrell-HK-impression-era seems to be based on Ferrell's True and to be honest I wouldn't even know what a non-Will Farrel Harry Carey impressions would even look like.

    I was surprised he actually got some ABs. I'd forgotten all about that. At least one was in the game where Gamel got his first career hit and Gabe Kapler became my least favorite baseball player of all time. September 7, 2008.

    I don't expect Gonzales to be to much above average but to say he is a negative on defense is very misleading. 4 of his negative years on defense were previous to 2001. I question how relevant stats from 5+ years back actually are. ^^Gahh, what he said. That's what I get for typing up a post walking away and coming back to post it.

    Shane was killed off much much earlier in the comics. Before they even leave the first camp close to Atlanta. He was killed by Carl while zombie Shane was killed by Rick.

    Long man is a huge waste of a pitcher. They only pitch in mop up duty and any scrub could do that. If you want a guy as a back up starter you are way better off keeping him stretched out in AAA. Not that our manager will do that.

    Even if he got a free agent now it wouldn't necessarily mean he is thinking of a long term contract. I would get an agent before the season so I could just relax after the season instead of wasting time looking for one.

    This won't effect the people coming from downtown. It will effect the people coming in from Madison and all points west. As someone who drives this route regularly right now, it will definitely effect anyone going to the games on a weeknight. Even now, traffic is almost at a stand still from 4-7 pm, backed up to the I45 interchange on a regular basis. My advice, if you're late, get off on HWY100 and take Blue Mound the rest of the way. Hopefully they don't route traffic that way. I impressed one of my friends who lives in Milwaukee by suggesting Bluemound last year. Got us around a ton of traffic. I hope it doesn't become to well known.

    Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. Hart has come into camp a couple times now in the best shape of his life and has been hurt two years in a row.

    The state tournament goes Regionals-Sectionals-State. Looks like 3 rounds of Regionals, 2 rounds of Sectionals and then 2 rounds of state.

    Many AL teams have a defensive specialist so the hitting isn't quite as good position by position.

    I don't believe the Cards had the superior team. They just happened to play better at the right time and took advantage of a huge blunder by our manager. As far as the drug test, stuff happens. Braun is playing.

    Just when I was forgetting just how much I hate the Cardinals. Losing to them in the playoffs just makes me sick. Fair or not I put a lot of that blame on the manager and his pet Kotsay.

    I think we just wait to see what he will actually be paid before we make any judgements. Sure we have control of him for 4 years(5 years actually), including this year, but if he continues to pitch well he will be very expensive in arby.

    You only get pick compensation if the player spends the whole year on your team.
