You do realize they stole that car in the previous episode right? I didn't like this episode as much as the previous episodes. Almost nothing happened. It took them an hour to get to the good part and then it was over.

Hopefully this is similar to the year they traded Overbay and they are not seriously considering paying Fielder. They didn't need to trade Overbay that year either.

Not to bad for a young inexperienced team. If they can keep this group together next year they could be something special. I am not giving up on this year yet but young players tend to fade a bit as teh season wears on and we have a lot of young players.

I think as a manager I would be more worried about having a pitching coach I can trust more than any other coach. He is probably the guy that you would need to consult with the most during a game. Evaluating pitchers on the fly seems like the trickiest thing during a game. Knowing a relief pitcher is off quickly could help.

I think they actually had a lot of the stuff Peterson did in place before he came here. That was one of the reasons he came to Milwaukee.

I was leaning towards CPVC since I could put it together without glue and it would be easier to take apart and clean. I'll have to figure something out with the fryer then. All-grain looks like is will come down mostly to whenever I buy a new pot.

I really liked the Two Women Lager. I didn't like either bock that New Glarus put out this year. As always I love D-Man. I am a little disappointed to see Stone Soup get dropped. I didn't get in soon enough to vote this year. Last year I stuffed the ballot boxes but didn't know I could vote yet until the last possible day this year. I think I liked Snowshoe.

Is that why they picked the 7th best hitting 2B in the NL according to that newfangled and very complicated OPS stat?

That is still kind of about money. Not to many teams can pay a player a big chunk of money to have him around for his decline years without hurting their team.

You realize that was 8th best among Major League 3rd basemen right? The argument that Casey is "not that good" is silly. .800 OPS players dont just grow on trees. Less than 60 players had an OPS of .800 or higher. Is he an elite hitter? No, but he is definitely above average. McGehee is projected to have a sub .800 OPS next year. Add in defense and he is blocking an arguably better player and McGehee becomes less popular. I don't think there would be much problem with McGehee if we didn't have Gamel.

I would lean towards a rectangular or square cooler with either a SS braid or CPVC in the bottom. Mostly because I already own a cooler I rarely use that would work. That would make most of the investment just the pot. Probably January at the earliest. We have a turkey fryer already but without a garage it blows out way to easy. I would hate to go through with a mash only to be unable to brew because of weather. Besides, I think me wife would freak out if I bought any more brewing stuff. She likes the beer at least.

Probably but in general people are more optimistic than projection systems. Fangraphs asked for fan projections last year. Not sure how it turned out though.

I am reminded more and more of that nickname every time Roenicke speaks. I listened to part of his interview with Homer last night. The players will not run as much if they get caught stealing because they will be embarrassed by making outs. Sounds nice in theory.

Off the top of my head, Braun's OBP seems high and .790 OPS out of McGehee would suck.

It was a good sample though. He really is that mind numbing. You feel dumber for having heard him speak. I always think of Billy Madison when Joe Morgan speaks. I don't mind Bill Schroeder either.

I would get a chest freezer with temp control if I had a basement or garage. Of course if I had a basement temp control wouldn't be as high on my list. If I had a garage I would probably seriously consider all-grain. A week ago I wasn't even consiering all-grain. After doing more reading about batch sparging it doesn't look to difficult or expensive to step up to all-grain. The biggest investment would be a 7.5 gallon or bigger pot. Of course then I will probably want to do double batches and want a 13 gallon pot. I see no end in sight.

Very addictive hobby. We have 3 fermenting right now and ingredients for 3 more. Our favorite so far has been the Deep Dark Wheat from Midwest. The next one we make we are harvesting the yeast to use on making that one again. I will eventually want a stir plate but next is a Son of Fermentation Chiller. Found a decent looking stir plate for $44. Came pretty well recommended over at Homebrewtalk.com.

If I had to guess it probably has something to do with Rogers actually pitching as a starter within the last year. I will not get to excited about Jeffress until he can actually pitch most of a season with a decent BB rate.

The reason I make a blanket statement that pitchers should never bunt is because in close and late situations they should be pinch hit for.

There is a Heretic Brewing Company opening up in San Francisco. They should have some beer out by March 2011. Jamil Zainasheff is the brewmaster and he is supposedly a celebrity amongst home brewers. Had a few of the 2° Below tonight. Good stuff.
