  1. I was extremely happy to see the Brewers score until I realized just how happy I was to see ONE run score. Then I became a little depressed.
  2. If 2 pitchers have similar stuff and command, I would take the righty over the lefty. The righty has the platoon advantage over a larger percentage of hitters.
  3. Wow, all the close plays are going our way on defense tonight. Now if we could just get a timely hit to fall.
  4. I couldn't tell if he was off the bag when tagged from that angle.
  5. Didn't much care for that slide by Cameron. If it happened against us I would have been really upset. Looked like he almost started his slide right at the bag instead of before it.
  6. Is that sarcasm? I cant see the game tonight. Gameday said he flied out sharply Yup, that was sarcasm.
  7. Another terrible approach by JJ. He is bad not unlucky.
  8. Well, Richard Justice did say that the Astros have no holes.
  9. The CC thread sucked all the life out of the season for me last year. I will never revisit it. Is this trade going to happen? Is it for real? I mean Tom Haudricourt hasn't even blogged anything about it and he knows everything there is to know about the Brewers. He is such a smart guy.
  10. Hall has terrible splits vs RHP. He has for some time now. It isn't about what a player has done this year as much as what a player has done over the last 3 years. Using just this year's stats is not enough data to make a good decision on what to expect from a player(small sample). I hope that answers your question. I am sure others could give a much better answer.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  11. Regardless of the outcome, this is a bad choice. With a shockingly unsurprising result.
  12. I just think that the difference between a starting pitcher over Parra would be bigger than Hardy over Escobar I would agree with that if I thought what Hardy and Parra have done to this point is where their true talent level is. However, I think both have grossly underperformed this year and will play better from this point forward so I disagree.
  13. Those 5 hits, if they are all singles, add about 47 points of OPS. That is a huge swing.
  14. My guess would be a minor league outfielder for a pitching prospect. Not a real good pitching prospect either.
  15. We don't know if that would be the case. Most likely yes, but if Alcides steals 15+ bases or so in that time and bats .240 we could have a better player. We all know about the argument about defense and who's more likely better..etc The problem is that if Escobar bats .240, he isn't likely to have a good OBP. He doesn't walk much. JJ at .240 is better than Escobar at .240. Stolen bases matter very little in a player's overall. They need to steal at a 70%+ rate and get over 20 SB to make much of an impact.
  16. JJ has just been unlucky. I think it is really that simple.
  17. I don't like the stacking of the lefties. The only problem with the lineup I might have is with Hardy not being in it, but he needed a day off at some point. Might as well be today.
  18. I refuse to check out any site that is pimped with a site member's first post.
  19. The umpire in this particular game jumped almost past the right handed batter's box when he made the call. To me, that's a bit over the top. Still, Cam's first move was towards the umpire, who wasn't there because he jumped way over to make the call, instead of towards the dugout.
