  1. If you're in separate beds, how do you get any lovin going on at night? I don't find separate beds or sleeping separately to be anywhere near as intrusive as kids.
  2. I think we should worry about Houston signing Sheets in the offseason way more than worrying about Houston beating us for the wildcard.
  3. Average NL hitter .268/.336/.420/.756 Average NL 1B .275/.358/.468/.826 Prince Fielder .265/.365/.483/.848 I guess I just don't see where Fielder is average and in a year when all those stats are below his career averages. My guess is that he is just having a down year.
  4. The decision was wrong to begin with, but I am not to upset they didn't overturn it. I will always believe that play should have been an error and Bob Webb is a turd sandwich.
  5. I would give Gamel about a start a week for the rest of the year depending on his defense. If the organization feels good about his defense I don't see any reason to give Counsel starts over Gamel. The power potential alone would make it worth starting Gamel.
  6. I don't see any reason to panic. Especially when the last 3 games of the season mean nothing until a team gets withing 3 games of us. That last series of the year could end up being AAA games.
  7. I think calling Gwynn a hitter is a stretch. I only wish we were up by 10 games so that maybe some people wouldn't get quite as worked up over a couple losses. No, I am not talking about the people posting in the vent thread. That's what the thread is for. I just saw a whole vent thread appear in the In-Game thread forum.
  8. Maybe he has pants left from grade school.
  9. I wish we were 10 games up instead of 4.
  10. More Boras stuff at Baseball Prospectus. Boras has been up to his MLB draft tricks for years.
  11. No manager does that. MLB managers are dumb like that. That is why I don't like multi-inning guys in the 8th or 9th inning role. It wastes a guy who could go more innings by limiting him to one inning in a game.
  12. I think you are wrong. Ned has left relievers who are pitching well out there for multiple innings.
  13. That's what I think. Putting a guy who can go multiple innings in a setup or closer role seems wrong to me. Part of why I don't like Torres in the closer role.
  14. I would rather they replace Friday's with an actual brewpub. We are the Brewers after all.
  15. Not sure if anybody has read this blog before, but I find it to be an interesting look into the reviewing of video games. The blog is done by Dan Hsu(former editor-in-chief of EGM) and Crispin Boyer.
  16. If we lose this game, I am going to be upset for at least 20 minutes.
  17. I guess I am going to go ahead and keep thinking that our bullpen this year is worse than last year's pen and have only been saved by our starters going deep into games.
  18. I don't know why we would want to take a speedy guy and move him from the outfield where his speed is an asset to a position where his speed will mean nothing.
  19. I have to agree with whoever said Jerry Manuel in New York. If the Mets win the division, I really see no way that he doesn't win it. There is the whole "turned the season around" angle with him. I think the whole award is crap as managers don't matter much, but whatever. The media likes to play up the importance of their awards no matter how flawed their reasoning behind handing them out may be.
  20. I think we should have CC bobble head day, right after Wes Helms bobble head day.
  21. Come on now. Are you trying to say that smart media types use a poor stat like W/L record to make a choice. Those guys are way to smart for that.
  22. Man JJ is speedy. Well not really, but that guy falling was kind of funny.
  23. Of course they want to be in the big leagues. That's the whole point of playing in the minors. I would think very few players play in the minors just for fun. In the Brewers case, I don't think there are many jobs to win for next year. Third base and that's about it. I think most will be playing for a chance at an injury replacement for next year or to push the front office to make room with a move. Of course you could also play well next year to be an injury replacement.
