Roache is 0.4 years older than average for A+. I am more concerned with his BA/OBP split than K%.

I think the direction of the franchise has been pretty good for over a year now. They do need to move a couple MLB assets, and it would have been nice to see Lohse or Garza moved in the offseason. Other than the, they have drafted some nice upside talent, traded Estrada and Gallardo for more useful assets. I still think we came out ahead in those trades. Things are moving in the right direction but we have a long way to go because things were run so poorly before last year.

Firing the manager is just a symptom. It does nothing. Managers don't get fired if the team is run well and winning. -
Mat Gamel for sure. Thought Green would be good too. What about Lou Palmisano?

Odorizzi was the big loss in the Greinke trade.

If I remember correctly they had an incredibly hot finish to the year just before they signed Lohse. They had a pretty poor year most of the year despite having Greinke to start the year. I think they put too much stock in a hot finish that year.

I really like that he has put the pitcher 8th. Hopefully he will stick with it unlike Macha who gave up on it after a couple months.

In 2008 when we traded for CC I didn't hate the move. I can see how someone would have wanted to trade for a long term alternative instead of a summer rental. Overall though I don't think that move hurt us to much. We had a lot of depth at the time and one or two bad moves wasn't likely t hurt us much. I know I was against the Marcum trade at the time. I think I was 50/50 on the Greinke deal. Those moves gutted our system. We knew they would at the time. From that point till the Garza deal the franchise made some terrible decisions and we are seeing the results over the last few seasons. Starting with the Garza deal I think things have been going in a positive direction. No for the present obviously but for a couple years from now. It would be nice to see a couple more trades made in the next few months to strengthen out MLB club and minor league system. I don't expect much of a team in 2016 but if we can move a few players I think our future looks bright in 2017 and beyond.

No but there was a lot of "our minor leagues are not as bad as people are saying because we are bringing up guys like Gennett and Davis."

I have a feeling they will be looking for close to MLB talent for Gomez and Lucroy. AA or above.

I doubt your original email was even read by a person. Think it's a typical canned response to any email. Sad to say but losing one customer is better than having a rubber stamp giving out free product to every email they receive. They don't know you so they make you jump through a couple hoops to get a replacement. It is far easier to write an email than make a phone call. Nottso got a similar response for praising a product. I got a similar canned response from a product I had a problem with a month ago. Something along the lines of, "sorry you had a problem, send us a copy of your invoice so we can resolve your issue."

I don't know either. I think it comes down to lack of elite talent. Plate discipline could be what seperates good from great. -
I don't think I am. I'm not as upset about it as you are. I am not as close to it as you. Doesn't sound like an interrogation. Sounds like a standard response to a complaint. Basic information. Buy another package, snap a picture, email them, and they will likely send you another package. If they don't, then there are problems. I don't think UPC codes change. They probably have a different code on the package for tracking issues.

Most of our players have little plate discipline. Been gradually getting worse for years. Nothing to do with the manager. It's the team that was put together. -
Ryan Braun - Worst Contract in Franchise History?

Ryan Braun without a doubt. Prince can't play defense for them because he's horrible at it and he's going to keep facing injuries due to the fact that he's pretty large (so is Braun, I guess). Also, while Braun gets to play in an all-around hitter-friendly park, Prince gets arguably the best hitter for lefties in the majors right now. Take that away and he isn't mashing this year. He's got a .750 road OPS. If I'm Texas and have the DH and that short porch, I take Prince. If I'm almost anybody else, I take Braun. If Braun were to theoretically be a free agent this offseason...many teams would probably take a 5/$100 risk on him (which is what he effectively has left). Maybe 20 was a stretch, but there are plenty of teams that probably would just take on the money itself. The rest of this season will be the telling factor. The deferred money thing is a bit annoying. I'm sure Braun wouldn't mind if a team was willing to bundle the deferred money back to "up front" which a franchise with a bit more $ laying around could do if they didn't want the annoying $2 million/year or whatever it is sitting on the books for 11 years. Miller Park plays pretty neutral overall and has for years. High in HR, low in everything else. -

They want a picture of the barcode and their own code so they know when the product was manufactured. Shouldn't be that difficult. Takes about a minute with a smartphone.

I think Gomez and Lucroy are likely to go in the offseason if they are traded. Lohse and Parra are likely the 2 guys we trade in season.
