    Holy Crap, only the 4th inning. Usually when i fall asleep for a couple hours during the game it is over when I wake up, not just getting interesting.

    Also note that wOBA, which roughly equates to (OBP*2+SLG)/3, has an even higher correlation to runs scored.

    I hope it would lead to a true draft where all players had to be drafted to play in baseball. I really like the idea in theory, but it just doesn't seem practical. I know I would be very upset if my team had to play at 10 AM. I get upset with the West Coast road trips where the games start at 9PM.

    I would like to know as well since that is completely opposite of the OBP being worth 1.6-2 times as much as SLG I have read about and been presented with on this site.

    Those road trips seem brutal enough as it is right now. Imagine your team not being home for almost a whole month. I know we would still get the same number of home games, but I think it is better to space them out as opposed to blocking them all together.

    Don't bother with the website. I got the same thing. Just call their 800 number. They will ask you a few stupid questions like, did you try unplugging it? and did you try turning it off then back on after a few minutes? Just play along with what they ask and eventually they will take your address and send you a box.

    Call X-box. They should cover it. They will send you a box to send it back to them in free of charge. All you have to do is drop it off at a UPS pickup spot like Staples. You should also receive one free month for Xbox Live, which is about as long as it should take to send to them and get it back.

    I would prefer Fielder as the #3 hitter so that there are people on base when Braun hits. I would actually prefer Fielder #2, but that's not going to happen.

    I think avoiding calling Yost his moves or the opinions of other posters ridiculous, stupid, idiotic etc. would also be a good idea. All stuff like that does is put the other person on the defensive. I went back a few pages and saw very little of this so I must be remembering stuff from the "Vent Thread" and that is not really a discussion thread. I personally try to avoid Yost discussions except on a one on one basis. Key word is try.

    Given the number of people who post here, there is almost always going to be at least one poster who doesn't like something Yost has done in a game, but I doubt there is any one poster who doesn't like every move. The problem I see is that many in the "fire Ned Yost" camp rarely come on and defend Yost when he does something they thought was right and many in the "extend Ned Yost" camp rarely come on and criticize when they think he did something wrong. This makes it very difficult to determine what any given poster thinks in any given situation and leads to blanket statements. It leads to one group constantly complaining about Yost and the other constantly defending with very few people doing both.

    I want Cameron's option picked up. It is nice to have a real CF on our team.

    I will admit I would like to see Braun increase his OBP. In this case we are not discussing what we would like to see Braun improve on. We are comparing his current production to other players at his position and are pointing out that other players at Braun's position have a SLG better or within a few points of Braun, but also have a much, much higher OBP.

    His option is automatic at 110 games started. He has escalators at 100, 115, 120, and 130 games.

    I don't think anybody is ignoring his power. As I stated earlier, 1 point of OBP is generally considered to be worth 1.8-2 times as much as 1 point of SLG. Figuring it that way drops Braun way down on the list of OF's. Also there are at least 3 guys with a SLG higher than Braun who also carry a respectable OBP. Edit: I am not trying to convince people not to vote for Braun, just stating that I wouldn't and why. If he was even close to the top few guys I would vote for him, but right now there are several guys that are head and shoulders better. His OBP is so bad he barley cracks the top 30 outfielders with it.

    So what you are saying is that if a team doesn't have to use their 4th or 5th best reliever they have a better chance of winning?

    Before the start of this year, Cameron had 371 GS(26%) batting in the 6th spot and 294 GS(20%) batting in the 2nd spot. I would not call him a career 6 hole hitter. He had just 82 more games started at the 6th spot than in the 2nd spot.

    That's a really good idea As for Braun, I consider OBP to be twice as important as SLG so after giving it that weighting, Braun is the 15th best OF in the NL right now. I would probably vote for Burrel, Ludwick and McClouth.

    No, I wouldn't vote for Braun either. I would be more tempted to vote for Hart than Braun. I can't vote for a player who is bad in an area that I consider very important for a player.(OBP) The best I can do is not vote for anybody rather than against either.
