  1. I completley agree there should be realignment. I originally thought it should be Houston that should go. That would be the easiest. After giving it some thought though I think Colorado or Arizona should go to the AL West and Houston should go to the NL West. Houston is the obvious choice to be moved from our division, in my opinion. They are the farthest out of the general region the rest of the teams are in.
  2. Most fans think it is their right and responsibility to boo. They will boo at perceived bad calls and other such things. I personally only boo Cubs players and poor sportsmanship on the field. I only boo Cubs players because we have to drown out the cheers of the Cubs fans. I guess I agree with you, I hate booing our own players and see no point in booing opposing players.
  3. Actually the best batting order would be putting the players in order of best OPS. The most imortant thing with batting order is putting your 9 best players in the lineup every day. Everything else only make a minor difference.
  4. From everything I have read, there is no such thing as batting protection. The only thing close to protection would be the guy batting behind Fielder being good so other teams don't issue a IBB to Fielder.
  5. We move up to 9th when it goes by win% instead of just total wins. EDIT: More importantly we have the most total wins and the best win% in the NL.
  6. If you mean the last few years I agree. If you are talking about this year I disagree. Other than the series against Texas where we should have won another game we are winning or splitting series on the road against teams we should beat. We have 4 road series left where we play "good" teams. COL, SF, ARI. and ATL. WE should be able to beat SF and COL on the road, but west coast swings are always tough. Every other road trip is a division team or WAS. All very winnable. Like said before, we have already played most of our tough road series.
  7. We are looking to go 54-27 at home and 41-40 on the road. That would be a 26 game split.
  8. Well we are always trying to win 2 of 3 at home and play .500 on the road. That would leave us with a target of 29-14 at home and 17-18 or 18-17 on the road. That would give us a record of 46-32 or 45-33. Seems to me we are playing just about as good as we should. I am not as worried about a big split as long as we are close to .500 on the road.
  9. Don't look now, but if the Cubs win their next 2 games they will no longer be losers. I was not sure if that belonged here, but putting Cubs and losers in the same sentence always makes me smile. On a different note, if Ben Sheets wins his next 3 starts he will finally be a "winner". I am glad he finaly figured out how to win.
  10. I hate booing at all times except the Cubs games where you have to boo to drown out the Cubs fans. The only other time I could agree with booing is if a player does something that is unsportsmanlike, such as starting a fight.
  11. I think that every announcer has things they say a lot during the season. Baseball is such a long season I think it is unavoidable. I would take BA over Sutton any day.
  12. As far as using any pitcher at any time I think that even relievers like to have a defined role with the team. People like to know where they stand. EDIT: I pick Tbow as the setup man.
  13. I like Sheets pitching every day. When do we clone him?
  14. Our biggest problem is that our 8th inning guy is better than most relievers, but isn't perfect. I bet a lot of teams would love to have that problem.
  15. I see twice where he went more than an inning. I thought I remembered more times than that, but I would trust the game logs over my memory.
  16. Capellan hasn't exactly been all that great either. He walked 2 guys and gave up a hit to load the bases with nobody out today. He hasn't been throwing strikes very well most of his times out this year. His velocity is also down. Tbow blew it today, but he is getting the job done more often than not.
  17. I understand that argument, but I don't think YoGa will add enough wins to make any difference in our post season positioning. I would rather coast into the post season with what we have and save his service time for a few years down the road when we loose Sheets, Cappy and Suppan. As for pitching in the post season I don't think he is any better than Sheets or Cappy. He might be better than Suppan, but Soup has invaluable postseason experience.
  18. And the guy who we are going to be sending back to AAA is better than our 4th and 5th.
  19. I agree except for the bringing up YoGa in a month or 2. Unless we really need a few wins pretty bad I am all for leaving YoGa in AAA the rest of the year. I would be willing to bet we see him again before the end of the year because of another injury.
  20. I personally put the game on Tbow since it is his job to put up a goose egg in the 8th.
  21. Actually he got a guy at home as well.EDIT: I could see how that would get missed if you are like me and was in a blinding rage at that point. Or if the TV had been turned off like I wanted to.
  22. Note to Milwaukee's relief pitchers: THROW STRIKES! I can't put much on Yost when every reliever comes in and screws up.
  23. I believe that I heard somewhere that the Gamecube was actually capable of the best graphics of the last generation consoles. They suffered a lot because they had higher liscensing fees on the N64 and lost a lot of 3rd party support which they never really recovered. I doubt the Wii will help them much with that since it has a very different controller making a port more difficult. Companies can't really afford to make games exclusive like they used to. Personally if I was going with only one console I would go with the Wii only because I have been a fan of Zelda and Metroid since the start. Last generation if a game was multi platform I always bought it on Xbox because I liked the hard drive. I hate memory cards. I personally buy a system based on the games not on any fanboy love. I will eventually own all 3 systems, but that PS3 is really looking out of my price range right now. Neither my brother or myslef have had any problems with our 360's. I have had mine since March of '06 and he has had his since Sept. '06. Of course I lay mine flat and with plenty of ventilation.
  24. Yeah that was last year. Actually I think it was $2 per ticket last year with no other charges.
  25. Would somebody plaese tell Ryan Braun his batting helmet is to big. I am getting tired of watching the guy adjust his helmet 2-3 times between each base. Seriously man that thing doesn't fit. You are in the big leagues now they have guys to fix that stuff now.
