  1. Sure it is. or this.
  2. Even if our TV contract doubled, it would still be pretty bad. I would drop cable if I could stream Brewers games. I don't think we could join the Packers for a regional sport channel. I believe the NFL has national contracts. Until TV contracts start getting closer to being split 100% than 50% there will be huge inequities.
  3. You talk like people haven't looked at it. I think you need to raise your expectations a bit for posters on this board. There are many who follow the minors very closely. Some who follow the minors exclusively. We need our scouting and drafting department to draft stars now and then not just average or bench MLB players. It isn't just individuals who didn't pan out. It is our whole MiLB system as a whole that is weak. You could start with this thread. I think one of the big complaints is that the Brewers seem to have set their sites on "high floor/low ceiling" players. That would add to the certainty that we'd get MLB players, but they'd be role players and back-of-the-rotation guys. Our current farm system seems to be filled with these type players, but lacks guys who could be above average, much less star players. I think that strategy is backwards. We can pay for average MLB players. We can't afford MLB stars unless they come up through our system. It sounds like a few of the guys drafted last year might be really good so I am hoping things turn around a bit.

Bottom line though, we need our scouting department to identify and draft Impact Talent™ not just MLB players.
  5. How would the officer know he didn't drive part way home and decide to pull over and sleep it off?
  6. There is clutch. The general thinking seems to be that clutch isn't predictable.
  7. You might be right. He may have a good defensive skillset for 3B. I am not sure about his instincts though.
  8. And I am sure you get to decide who is better than average? Let me know when Bruce meets your bar, k Logan? I am guessing this never happens. I could be convinced if there was some effort made to support his drafts or possibly supply a reason why he isn't getting enough credit.
  9. He will get credit when we see some better than average MLB players from his drafts.
  10. He's got a nice arm, a good glove and pretty good instincts when he is actually trying and paying attention (things like that behind the back (or was it through the legs?) flip to Weeks for that epic double play a couple years ago--or the diving catch behind the mound to win a game as well)). He just has poor range. The only reason he had to flip that ball behind his back because he has poor range. A good SS gets an easy 6-3DP.
  11. How much longer until Mark A. decides to start a RSN? I am not sure we have a big enough market for one.
  12. I especially agree with the bolded part.
  13. He is also seeing fewer pitches outside the zone so far.
  14. He really doesn't get a bad rap. He seems lazy in the field. Think back to the passed ball that went off the umpire's mask and bounced to the dugout. He barely beat Lucroy to it despite Lucroy being at least twice as far away. Yuni was in La la land. He does have some skills. Just not as a fielder or as a hitter. He has good people skills. At least that is the impression I get.
  15. The guy has more grand slams than Wade Boggs, Ty Cobb, Al Kaline and Ryan Braun. But does he have more than Prince Fielder?
  16. Well I guess domestic abuse is ok as long as there isn't a rape or murder.
  17. Are you sure about that? 100%? 100% His whole approach is swing hard in case you hit it. The sun shines on every dog's ass once in a while.
  18. Are you doing this boycott because of Weeks batting cleanup? If so, you are going to miss quite a few games. That's something that I'm just not capable of doing. Yuni at 1B. There is no reason to start Yuni at 1B. It is asinine.
  19. My objection to this is slightly more than I objected to the Yuni signing and let's be honest, I think Yuni is a turd on the field.
  20. I think by a the time a player goes through the minors the weak minded ones get weeded out.
  21. Switch Weeks and Segura and I like it.
  22. I am sorry but that sets the bar so incredibly low I find it ridiculous.
  23. You need to get on base first. Also, you don't steal 3B much.
