  1. I find that funny. My friends would find that funny. People in general would not find that funny. People suck.
  2. Makes a ton of sense. I hope it happens.
  3. I remember that being brought up during a game sometime. They talked about how Yount thought it would produce more triples.
  4. Great content. Thanks for sharing that. Eh, I am more of a Marvel guy myself.
  5. I think the argument is that without roids Bonds would not have been playing anywhere near as much.
  6. Maybe that is the Canadian spelling.
  7. Just had Bigfoot. Not impressed. Not sure why they bother calling it a Barleywine. Seems like just a darker IIPA. Yeah I know"American" Barleywine.
  8. Agreed, but catching cheaters equates to enforcing the rules. So if the test is inconclusive, then maybe the substance in question shouldn't be illegal? The other possibility is they don't have a good test for it.
  9. Even with the rules being enforced there is no guarantee that the cheaters are using anything illegal that will show up in testing. Banning substances is easy. Catching cheaters is not.
  10. I fear Gonzalez may be penciled in at 1B. I would rather bet on Green's upside instead of Gonzalez' crappy hitting numbers.
  11. I don't have a huge problem at all with not spending much money on free agents this year.
  12. I could see the manager if Gonzalez spends any amount of time at all at 1B.
  13. There's no way Green is slower than 35 year old Mark Kotsay, right? Where was this Ron in 2011?
  14. Bobby Crosby is my bet.
  15. That 96 Brewer team was better than you remember. They scored a whopping 894 runs. That's more than the 82 Brewers who scored 891. Unfortunately the pitching was as bad as the hitting was good. How does that compare to the rest of the league. 82 and 96 were drastically different run scoring environments.
  16. Of course giving up a pick and signing a 34 year old pitcher to a multi-year deal wouldn't be the end of the world. It would merely be incredibly stupid.
  17. 200 innings is still a small sample.
  18. Giving up a 1st round pick for a 34 year old pitcher seems well, dumb. Absolutely moronic. And, Doug, "30" is not "34." I was trying to be nice by just saying dumb.
  19. Giving up a 1st round pick for a 34 year old pitcher seems well, dumb.
  20. Correct. The third (hopefully obvious) solid candidate is Mo Rivera. I would think, right or wrong, Pettite gets in on postseason performance.
  21. Sure there are but there is little chance anybody drafted in that time will be ready to contribute by then.
  22. Yeah they are in good financial shape but money doesn't buy good players unless you overpay. That can put in a bad financial situation really quick.
  23. Is Narveson worth the marginal wins over the young pitchers or would you rather go with one of the young guys to see what we have? I would rather go with the young guys. Higher upside also. If Narveson comes back and you can get something good in trade, I would trade him.
  24. I don't understand this logic. What do you have against Aoki? If he has the same season he had last year, how can you hope he loses his job? Aoki seems to get no respect from the majority of posters here. I like the guy. I think Gamel would have been a better hitter than Aoki with a slight step back on defense.
