  1. Offense is humming with virtually no contributions from Villar, Broxton and Arcia next to nothing from Shaw. If Villar and Keon can get back to where they were for long stretches last year, we could be downright scary.
  2. Agreed completely. This is always my argument to the jackasses who boo Braun. Everyone is on something and pushing the envelope, that's why players today don't look like Ben Ogilvie or Robin Yount. Sounds like an excuse to cheer for Braun and think he did no wrong. I've long gotten over any animosity I briefly had towards Braun. He's one of the all-time great Brewers and he served his sentence, damn right I'm going to cheer for him. I'm also not naïve enough to think that every athlete out there isn't looking for some kind of edge via training, supplements, etc.

  4. Hope they have a bunch of shirtseys in stock at Miller Park, he has folk-hero written all over him.
  5. I fail to see what Milone has done to deserve to keep his spot, especially since he shouldn't have had it in the first place!
  6. I just can't even with Eric Thames right now this is incredible and I hope it never stops!
  7. You also wanted to DFA half the team because of bad starts. Can you imagine a team with Thames, Khrush AND Scooter? It's hard not to be excited about his start, I just hope he can continue to hit once the league starts to adjust to him and he's not another Chris Shelton.
  8. The similarities between Villar and Gomez are really something. Frustrating at times, but have to take the good with the bad!
  9. I was wondering the same thing. Not a flashy prospect by any means, but guys who can throw 97 don't grow on trees.
  10. So glad we're not getting owned by Arroyo like in the old days. Not sure I could handle that.
  11. If anything, it makes it seem like the 10/5 rights won't be a hurdle at all since it sounds like there's an understanding that the Brewers wouldn't try to trade him somewhere he didn't want to go anyways.
  12. the patriotic pandering at sporting events is a little much for my tastes. I like the father's day hat though.
  13. Is Tucker Neuhaus anyone to pay attention to or is he just a guy? Seems like he must have decent pedigree being a former 2nd round pick and he's still only 21, but I don't see him get mentioned anywhere among the top 25-30 prospects in our system.
  14. Ugh Braun being scratched with back issues this early in the season could be a killer. Hope we didn't miss our window to move him.
  15. Yeah the taco folks had no idea what was going on. I was in an hour early so there was nobody in the lines and it still took forever. I would imagine that would improve as the season goes on.
  16. the tacos were good and the brats were the same as always: underwhelming and yet delicious.
  17. I absolutely love BA and Rock. When I had MLB.tv I would listen to a lot of away broadcasts and I was stunned at how bad most of them were. We have it really good.
  18. At the game yesterday kids were booing Braun, I don't get it. He's the best player on the team, one of the all-time franchise greats and he honestly didn't do anything that anyone else doesn't do. This has happened at multiple games I went to last year too.
  19. Ugh, if his lack of a track record was an issue before, this is not going to do any favors to his trade value.
  20. I'm going to have to ignore all of the Diaz talk this year. The move didn't make sense then, doesn't make sense now and won't make sense in the future. Shockingly shortsighted move for a FO that has been very forward thinking so far.
  21. Because Scooter has no place on the team now, or in the future. This season is all about trying to see exactly what they have in Villar and probably to a lesser extent Perez. They knew exactly who Scooter was as a player, which is limited offensively and defensively, and determined (rightfully in my opinion) that he is not a core piece going forward. 2017 will further help them decide if Villar and Perez are.
  22. I didn't see that about Scooter, maybe Briggs was on to something! There are going to be a lot of games like this with bad defense and bad situational hitting, that's to be expected with such a young team. Just have to hope that it improves as the season goes along. My only real concern with the game today is Guerra's leg. That's about the last thing we need from multiple angles.
  23. I mean Villar had a bad game today but this is a little over the top, even for you!
  24. Wish the deal was longer and for more money tbh. The Brewers aren't in the position to give aging players huge deals, especially when we suck, as has been discussed on this board ad naseum. The Lucroy trade was fantastic and 150% the right move for where we are as a franchise.
