  1. I love Carlos and if Broxton wasn't hitting, I'd say bring him in, why not? But with Broxton seemingly turning things around and Brinson waiting in the wings, there's just no place for him on the 2016 roster or even the 2017 roster. I hope he latches on somewhere and turns it around though.
  2. And apparently he doesn't want to spend that much time in the minors! The nerve of this guy.
  3. wow, between this and Prince, a really tough week for beloved former Brewers.
  4. I'm concerned about Tim Tebow's life because he's been force fed to us by the media for the past decade. It's been very refreshing having him out of the spotlight for the last few years and I'm annoyed that he's putting himself back in it.
  5. I think it shows a total lack of humility and self-awareness to think that you can step in after a decade+ away and think you can play baseball. He seems pretty arrogant, same reason that he wouldn't go to the CFL to keep his football dreams alive.
  6. Total bummer, Prince is up there with Yount and Molitor for me as personal favorites. Glad we got his best years.
  7. what a joke. he hasn't played baseball since highschool and he wasn't even a top recruit then, and now he thinks he can actually play at age 29? go away.
  8. I think going away from the bobbleheads a bit wouldn't be a bad idea. You can do 4 or 5, but you don't need 10 of them a year. I like that they do them for all fans, but 25,000 would still make them pretty easy to get. They have got to end up with so much extra stock of those, especially in a season like this.
  9. Oh man that is fantastic to hear, especially from someone like Rosenthal. Come on Mendez!
  10. Not sure I'd give up Jungmann for him (I still believe), but I wouldn't mind seeing if we could get him for a Clint coulter or something. Santana can't stay healthy and Puig has had success, could be worth the gamble.
  11. I'm still shocked that Torres and Boyer didn't get moved in July. I think it might be tough to get Torres through waivers for the previously mentioned reasons. I'd love to get a lottery ticket or two for Boyer, Neuenheis, etc.
  12. I was wondering if Stearns wanted to have the season to see everything for himself to decide if he needed to make changes, so I hope you're right.
  13. I saw the same Keith Law note and wondered why we haven't done something different as well. I know prospects bust all the time, but the lack of success on the pitching front in this organization is alarming.
  14. I know rankings like this are somewhat arbitrary, but this makes me very, very happy.
  15. I think the barfing is people holding out hope that the PTBNL will be a top prospect, as unlikely as that is.
  16. I was thinking about his career path yesterday and it's remarkable that he's been able to persevere through the ups and downs and still end up being a very solid major leaguer. I wish him nothing but success personally and professionally.
  17. aahhh you're right. Got my TT's confused. I do love me some Isan Diaz. Maybe the key is just trading with Dave Stewart.
  18. Would relievers like Boyer and Torres clear? I doubt that any of the rebuilding teams would want them, but maybe one of the contenders would put in a claim. If they want to trade for them I suppose that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I'd love to get rid of a few of the players that are performing well but won't be around next year for some prospects in the low minors with upside.
  19. If he's going to be the starting SS in 2017, I totally get this from a development standpoint. Let him get his first taste of the bigs and let him hit the ground running next year. That said, like many others have pointed out, its not like he's been dominating AAA and service time is an important consideration for a team like the Brewers. I'm excited to see him either way.
  20. Really wish the Brewers could get in on some of these buy a prospect deals like what happened with Trea Turner.
  21. Think Pina is just up until we can get Susac in town or will Susac be going to AAA for the rest of the season?
  22. Looks like Rijo and Coulter will drop off when the Rangers prospects are added. Who was #30 before Bickford came on?
  23. Keith Law of course isn't a big fan of Bickford.
  24. When we traded for CC, were the conditions of the PTBNL known? I'd kind of like Texas to bomb out because I'm petty like that, but I'd like to know if I should be rooting for them to do well in case that sweetens our return.
