  1. haha, all that and he makes $0 for charity!
  2. wow Hamilton is just crushing these.
  3. i mean this will all sincerity: Aramis Ramirez is my least favorite person in the entire world. I really dislike him.
  4. I have a bad feeling about this as well. hopefully we learned from our mistakes last time against him.
  5. the Giants are really, really bad. 1 run for the Cubs might win this.
  6. I think he's getting better at pulling the plug on certain guys (Turnbow, Gagne, Mota, Hall) although his seeming inability to really try anyone else at lead off besides Rickie is kind of annoying. I think it's a great sign that everyone is happy and that after the whole Boston disaster we didn't completely go into the dumps and actually started playing better. I hate to say it, but I think he's improving as a manager. I think a lot of the failures of this team fall on Melvin for not building a better bullpen, for example, than Yost. That said, i'm still not a huge fan.
  7. Sherrill blew another save last night, which brings him to 3 or so in his last 10 games. For what it would take to get him, no thanks. He really had one good year last year and this year is looking to be more and more like Turnbow-lite.
  8. I really hope we can go into the break leading the WC and only 3 back of the Cubs at worst.
  9. yeah, I really don't see why this is necessary with an 8 run lead.
  10. Bush better have gotten a standing O after that inning. 103 pitches, 73 of them for strikes!
  11. Bush, 8Ks, 0BB through 5, very nice. hopefully he can get us 7 strong.
  12. note to Yost: 6 runs is not a large enough lead to bring Mota in. good job guys, keep piling it on!
  13. Turnbow has an ERA of 8.15 and a WHIP of 3.00. Those were greatly inflated by a couple of horrific outings when he first went down, but he's of no use to us.
  14. no way I would trade one of our AA studs for Sherrill. His WHIP is not all that attractive and he's been pretty rough as of late. He'd be an upgrade over Mota, but I could easily see him turning into a left handed Turnbow.
  15. like Turnbow, better to pay him millions to blow games in Nashville than in Milwaukee.
  16. http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/07/09/that-should-be-it-for-mota.aspx Tom H seems to think that is it for him based on Ned's post game comments. I would be absolutely thrilled if that's the case. I like his suggestion for his replacement as well.
  17. I've officially had enough of this bum. A playoff contender can not have a gas can like him pitching crucial innings. He's already cost us potentially 3 wins this year. Those are huge. I've even used my masterful paint skills to create a new avatar to commemorate my hatred of this guy.
  18. if Glendon Rusch can shut us down, JDLR can too.
  19. it's a long season, there's plenty of baseball left, but games like this drive me up the wall. i'm going to the games saturday and sunday and i want nothing more than for Mota to not be in the bullpen anymore.
  20. If we end up losing 3 of 4 at home to the Rockies, I might freak out. Mota has got to go. He's rapidly approaching Turnbow territory here. How we go from down 1, 2 outs to down 5 is beyond me.
  21. Mota is seriously awful. Holy crap. Get rid of him and bring up DiFelice or something because this is getting ridiculous.
  22. for those of us following on gameday, what happened? DFA Mota.
