Yeah, last I remember the Doorman posting he was giving away free tickets. Seemed pretty nice to me.

I believe that is the Don Gorske reference from the OP. Maybe these guys just know what they want in life.
  3. DocLuna7
I love the Brewers way more than the average guy but if my dad was being rushed into emergency surgery I am not sure that the game would matter all that much to me.

My favorite part of the article is when Mark Attanasio gives him a strange look for choosing to go to a game over something more fun, lol.

It's a business. If brewers fans wanted to go that bad they would buy more tickets to these games.

Guys on the team are professionals and should be able to handle playing in front of a split home crowd. Is it annoying? Sure. Do I think that the Brewers should invest time and resources to make sure that their product goes into the "right" hands? Absolutely not.

I am glad we didn't include Brinson in this deal. Anyone else though, given this return, I would have pulled the trigger.

Is it confirmed that Yanks also got oakland's international bonus slot?
  9. DocLuna7
I have definitely posted many times on the stupidity of us overpaying for Gray but I would have done this deal in a heartbeat if we could have traded guys of this caliber to Oakland.

I think the Yankees win this one.

Has anyone heard anymore rumblings about this? I am wondering if this past series against Chicago put to bed any real interest we have in investing minor league assets into anything for our MLB roster.

At this point unless Oakland brings down the cost for Sonny or the Brewers are having very discreet discussions with another club for another cost controlled starter who could help us both now and in the future I think we stand pat until the off-season. I do think that under most scenarios Brinson is (and should be) off the table and bat the market will have more options this winter than it does right now.

Then don't read it. Your post quite frankly provides ZERO value to this thread. Trade deadline week is pretty exciting for alot of fans, if you're not one go post on the off topic stuff. CRIPES!!!! Well after reading (and posting many times regarding this topic in this thread) for weeks I think many would agree with me. Appreciate all that you do trying to police the boards and enjoy reading all of your incredibly valuable and insightful commentary.

One way or another I am very excited for this thread to be done and over with today.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this and if I had season tickets I would probably do the same thing.
  16. DocLuna7
Amazing that his stock could have fallen this much in one calendar year.
  17. DocLuna7
Didn't you make the argument earlier in this thread that we don't have any quality prospects?

You know that Mark A. ' not thinking twice' about that is part of the reason we got into this whole rebuilding mode in the first place, right? You do know that he hired Stearns for a reason, right? He is the boss, he could force Stearns' hand if he wanted to. Perhaps, just perhaps the reason he isn't doing that is that he is a smart businessman and billionaire aa you noted, and understands that leaving those decisions to DS is in the best interests of this franchise? I'm sure you are a passionate fan and I understand you want the team to win but you would be an absolute nightmare as a GM. Like, drive the franchise right back into the 90s type nightmare. Nope, I can guarantee you i'd have this franchise winning consistently as soon as next year and beyond. I wouldn't be pinning my hopes on competing in the next 3-4 years on Lewis Brinson, I know that much. It's going to take a lot more than him, and a lot more then this current crop of minor leaguers that everyone seems so high on. As long as Mark A said to me the same thing he said to Stearns "I will worry about paying the bills". Then I have free reign, and will have it turned around in a heartbeat. I'm just as competitive or more so than Mark A is. You have to be. I'm guessing most here aren't, which is why they will wait for the rebuild. I absulotely LOATHE losing, more than anything..I don't care what It is. PrinceFielderxx1 is that you?

A VERY small sample size for Brinson so far in the bigs. I would say that given the injury history that Sonny has a lot of unknowns as well.
  20. DocLuna7
Even though I have serious concerns about Gray and don't necessarily think he's an ace, I would be ok trading Phillips and Ray for him at this point. Brinson is a non starter IMHO.

Hmmm... it's Friday and we start a series against the Cubs tonight and yet somehow Wily Peralta is still on this roster. Anyone care to defend that position?

http://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2017/04/01/pitcher-tyler-cravy-lashes-out-after-being-cut-brewers/99805424/ Cravy said he might seek “a 9 to 5 job where I get treated like a human, at this point.” I heard Walmart is hiring. Add of course, Wilmer... http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/wilmer-flores-crying-game-trade-mets-carlos-gomez-looking-back-one-year-after-072916 Haha ok thanks. I remembered the Wilmer moment, just had forgotten anything about Cravy doing this in spring training. Guessing he was just venting but who knows?
  23. DocLuna7
Can someone remind me why Cravy is considered a "cry baby" again? Don't remember this.
  24. DocLuna7
Didn't the article say that the Jays are close to trading him to Kansas City?
  25. DocLuna7
They just showed Swarzak on tv. He's in uniform for today's game.
