  1. You might be right. I just tried calling after reading your post and no one picked up. I am planning on going to the game vs. the Cubs tomorrow night and may head that direction to see if there is a sign on the door. I will post here after I find out.
  2. Wow.... can you update us if you find out anything else? Love that place, need to stop in there soon.
  3. I am traveling in GB for work and am shocked to see that Direct TV doesn't have a FS Wisconsin option here. Am I missing something?
  4. Peralta just not looking sharp again. Also, I don't know if I have ever seen Yadier Molina not get a hit off us. Ever. It is hard to put into words how much I hate that guy.
  5. Haha. I am guessing that it has more to do with the fact that there are 16 home games in May and that there are 12 eligible games for this promotion in April.
  6. I absolutely love defeating the St Louis Cardinals. No team in sports stokes as much pure hatred within me as that self-righteous organization.
  7. I was born in the early 80's so I get the love for the ball and glove logo (and I do love it too). That being said, there is a part of me that really likes the idea that the team's history is pretty clearly divisible into these different eras that all of our uniforms represent. Since I think that last season's trade deadline activity definitively marked the end of the last wave of Brewers baseball a new uniform that brings us into a new era might be a cool thing.
  8. Just curious if anyone here on this board did the promotion in April and how it worked out for them.... any thoughts? it's a very interesting concept.
  9. Is the game going to be on normal FS WI? They have Bucks pregame on right now.
  10. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Yep. Kind of like we have however many mascots just like however many uniforms. I think official tally is Bernie Brewer, Barrellman, chorizo, hot dog, italian sausage, bratwurst, polish sausage, and Hank the Dog. Bordering on asinine.
  11. I would definitely take the time to check out the Reds Hall of Fame. Even though it is obviously a different franchise I found that to be an awesome experience.
  12. I think the people advocating for the full time return of this logo are also more inclined to read way too much into things like this, because it's what they want to see. Instead of making an assertion about others reading too much into things, perhaps you should question why the Brewers are the only team in MLB to not use their current primary logo on any of the hats. Maybe I'm wrong, but hasn't this been true since the current logo was incorporated in the 2000 season?
  13. I love the ball and glove logo but count me as being in favor of a completely new logo altogether in the next season or two. I think that old logos should remain a part of things without going back in time completely.
  14. Could it be that Segura is just hitting well in a very small sample size?
  15. I think comparing Schwarber to Babe Ruth might be just a tad hyperbolic.
  16. I watched a decent chunk of the OAK/CHI game last night. Khris Davis has definitely not done much to improve his arm in LF.
  17. I was my brother's best man back in 2012 and we did his bachelor party at Miller Park as well. Not sure exactly what you guys are looking for (my brother and I didn't want to do strip clubs) but we did the early afternoon tour at Miller. That started off the day in an awesome way, had a few sample end of tour beers but also a cool experience for those that hadn't done it before. Tailgating and cheap tickets for the rest of the day and for those that could do it, we went to the Bluemond bars after the game. We had a blast.
  18. Random question, but if a player were to "opt out" of the players Union ala Barry Bonds would they still be subject to the CBA?
  19. Pretty sure that CC is just giving a veteran who has had some success his due and saying that he ranks a bit higher than two guys who have proven nothing at the MLB level. I like the fact that maybe it's motivation for Cecchini and Middlebrooks and I also like the idea that only by playing Hill can we hope to increase his value before the deadline. I am all for giving young guys a shot when possible but this is an ideal situation in that there is no rush and something to be gained by waiting just a bit.
  20. Brewers hoodie was worn today in a celebration of the day. Happy Spring Training!
  21. I am pretty sure that it is going to be a permanent exhibit at Miller Park going forward. Still wish that they would expand it and make it a part of a larger concept Brewers Museum of sorts.
  22. April 5, 2002, Rusch pitched a complete game 3-hitter, allowing two runs on solo home runs while hitting one of his own in a 6-2 Brewer's win. Box Score via Baseball-Reference.com Milwaukee was 2-2 after that game. Unfortunately, things didn't go so well after that, with the Brewers losing 7 in a row and winning only 54 more times the whole year. Thank you BillScott.... I was at that game. I couldn't have told you that he allowed the two solo runs but I did remember that he hit that bomb and picked up the win. One of the few highlights from that very forgettable season.
  23. This made me laugh out loud. Didn't Rusch hit a bomb against Arizona during the home opener one of those two miserable seasons? I can hardly wait for his Brewers Retrospective here on this site.
