Awesome interview, he seems like a real genuine guy.

Brian Anderson to do Rockies/Phillies series
DocLuna7 replied to Baldkin's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Overall I suppose he's fine, but for some reason the constant "no-hitter" talk during Bush's gem against Philadelphia early in the season started to irk me. I know he was just trying to make a point about the ridiculousness of certain baseball superstitions, but still. -
What I am wondering is why not just let Cooper finish the year? It is never a good thing to be fired, but to not be given the courtesy of at least finishing the year this late into the season. With no chance of post-season play, it seems like the right thing to do imo.

Did anyone else think that Cooper looked a bit upset in the Astros dugout after Prince's RBI?

Do we have competitive balance right now?
DocLuna7 replied to Invader3K's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
It seems to me that teams like the Brewers didn't really start spending money on free-agents until it was the Yankees and other big-market teams giving them that money through revenue sharing. -
I for one am very tired of Brian Anderson mentioning this every single Braun at-bat, and every single half inning preceding a Braun at-bat.

Name the Cy Young winners (fun diversion)

I know it's a long-shot, but I am scrambling to find two tickets for tonight's 6:30 Phantom of the Opera at the Marcus. This would score huge points with the GF, so any help would be much appreciated. I can't find much online in a decent price range, but am willing to pay whatever is fair. Thanks again.

We are just finding new ways to lose games.

I am not sure who I enjoy watching less, Vargas or Suppan.

Though Kennedy was trying to change that Massachusetts law when it was no longer a Republican governor in office.

Bob Gibson facing Joe DiMaggio with the WS on the line.

I am not sure on the day, but I did hear that Steve Miller will be for sure attending. I didn't know that Miller was Les Paul's godson until I read the obituary.

That Escobar shot was a pseudo-Mench like intro. I am really curious to see how this team reacts tonight.

What a crazy couple of days for Swindle. DFA'd by the Rays today in order to pick up Russ Springer before he could even make an appearance.

I personally loved Dick Williams's book, "No More Mr. Nice Guy" Provided some humorous moments.

Frustrating.

Thank you Prince.

The roommates and I were having an "And That" contest.... he got five the first half inning, and one during the Brewers half. I am sure he would have added a few more if the bats could have prolonged the inning, but we had the over/under at 8.

Wow, just wow. .199 BA should at least equate to good defense if you want to get on the field even one day a week. I am heading for the vent thread.

Is Motte asking himself how classy he and his team are?

I've got to give props to LaRussa for that first StL run. Sending the runner to avoid the DP=smart move with Molina at the plate.
-
I'll take it.

I am guessing Soriano is injured?
