  1. That might be a little bit of hyperbole. Branyan would have to stay healthy and Hall would have to agree to only playing once every 4 days or so.
  2. Which player now? Also, I find it funny that Alabama-Hunstville has a hockey team.
  3. It sounds like Valverde is available although a trade within the division is probably not likely. http://www.mlbtraderumors...8/11/astros-likely-t.html
  4. Dan Patrick is also confirming the trade. Looks like a done deal.
  5. Braun was interviewed today on WSSP and his thoughts were that the World Series should be at a neutral site because having to delay the game to the next day causes people to lose interest in the game. Naturally he suggested Milwaukee as a possible location for next years World Series as a neutral site.
  6. Why wouldn't this work? Colorado College Denver AA AF Nebraska-Omaha Michigan Tech Miami Western Michigan Northern Michigan Ferris State Bowling Green Superior
  7. I'm a Lakers fan so I've been mostly focusing on them this year, but it sounds like the Bucks are back to being a respectable team defensively. Maybe I'll actually turn them on this year. Looks like I have tickets to the Knicks game on Friday.
  8. Yeah I agree with the UND comment. I don't want a Big Ten conference for Hockey, but I'd like to have Michigan, Mich St, and Ohio State in our conference. This would be the perfect conference: Minnesota Minnesota State Michigan Michigan State Ohio State Minnesota-Duluth Minnesota-St. Cloud Wisconsin North Dakota Notre Dame Then throw out Denver, CC, Michigan Tech, and Alaska-Anchorage and have them join conferences that make better geographic sense. Also, why wouldn't the 2 Alaska teams be in the same conference? It would be nice not to have to travel 3,000 miles for every road game.
  9. What can one possibly do with an extra 30 million when you already have 100 million? I've always wondered that.
  10. This Players Union stuff is despicable. They shouldn't be pressuring a player where to sign and should be worried about the well being of a player and not just money. Why can't they also be in concern of what the player wants and not a few extra million when the contract is already off the charts? That really ticks me off. The Players Union is worse than Scott Boras in my mind. We'd a have a salary cap and be a lot better of a sport if not for them.
  11. The conference setup is kind of whacky as it is. I would think we should be in the same conference as Michigan, Michigan St, and Ohio St since we play them in every other sport. Teams like Denver and Colorado College can scram and find their own conference.
  12. Yeah. Maybe they'll start a WCHA network. hahahaha.
  13. I would get a lot of pleasure out of C.C. turning down the Yankees offer and taking less money elsewhere even if it's not Milwaukee.
  14. Melving ripped the Yankees today on ESPN. He said why offer 140 million when you can just offer 110? He accused them of "overbidding". http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3706123
  15. Well they got a 4-1 victory tonight. That puts them in 3rd place in the WCHA. Not all is bad.
  16. 3-3 tie in Duluth. I'll take a tie on the road any day.
  17. Good thing the Twins gave Joe Nathan that big contract or they'd really be hurting.
  18. I wouldn't sign Wood if we had to give up a 1st round draft pick. Yuck.
  19. I could see the argument for average, but it surely wasn't above average, although they did pitch better in September besides Torres.
  20. Horrible news. Our bullpen goes from bad to worse. Melvin has his work cut out for him this offseason. Right now the best closer on our roster is Seth McClung which might not be a bad option, but please go get Hoffman.
  21. I know nothing about Bruce Seid. I hope he does a good job because the Brewers are going to need him in June.
  22. It was Webb's to lose until he faltered in September. Nice season for Lincecum though. The Brewer bias in me was rooting for Sabathia, but he just didn't pitch enough games to warrant the award.
  23. There's no reason to offer any kind of contract to Dave Bush. Ride him out for 2 more years of arby and then we'll go from there.
