  1. What's wrong with that? Is it bad to be entertaining? If you want actual sports coverage then sign up for ESPNNews. I bet 90% of the people who has posted negatively about ESPN on bf.net watch ESPN and read espn.com all the time. So whatever ESPN is doing is working because you're all still watching.
  2. I don't mind listening to Cowherd every once in a while, but I hate it when he rips on other sports and just talks about football. I'd rather listen to Cowherd any day over Sparky from WSSP. PTI is actually one of my favorite shows on TV. I don't even care if Kornheiser and Wilbon's opinions are scripted. It's a good way to catch the day's top stories in 30 minutes with an educated opinion on them. I don't even watch Sportscenter anymore. I'd rather watch ESPNNews where they actually have some substance. Overall, ESPN is great because it's a great source of information for me, but it does have it's flaws.
  3. I think Mota will be a good reliever for us and would have more value there than Vargas would in the pen. McClung has a history of being a starter for the DRays and he pitched well in multiple inning appearances this Spring. We really aren't that bad off without Vargas.
  4. If this is what it took to get Vargas out of the rotation and Villy and Parra in, I'm all for it. Let's play some baseball.
  5. We stil have Narveson and Zack Jackson in the minors to provide a little depth but neither have done anything at the major league level.
  6. How? All we have left is: Sheets Suppan Bush Villy Parra With Yo on the DL. Am I missing someone?
  7. Is there any way he could clear waivers and get him into AAA?
  8. http://www.jsonline.com/watch/?watch=1&date=3/25/2008&id=37427
  9. Who cares about this. The Badgers were picked to be 3rd or 4th in the Big Ten in basketball by the sportswriters and we all know how that turned out.
  10. Out of Vargas, Bush, and Villanueva, the pitcher with the best chance of posting an ERA under 4 is Villy. Any objections to that? That's what I was getting at.
  11. Do these same rules apply in Basketball? I'd take Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, or Chris Paul with the game on the line in the NBA.
  12. No, because when I say "upside" I am talking about his potential for this year. He has the potential to have the best ERA of anyone in our rotation not named Sheets or Gallardo. This will all sort itself out though when Vargas starts sucking and Gallardo comes back, but the bad part is that it will cost us games in the process.
  13. Robinson Cano at #11 is pretty whacky.
  14. I hope Marmol becomes the closer because I think he is more valuable to the Cubs as their setup man in pressure situations and going for multiple innings. I'm all for taking value away from players on the Cubs.
  15. That's a great way to put it. Make Boras lose a lot of respect to his clients and then maybe there will be less of them. Can we afford a Miggy type deal though?
  16. Thanks, Rluz, for the explanation. I'll fill it out when I'm bored at work tomorrow.

  20. No. I was asking a question of how a fans perception helps prove clutch wrong. If you asked me who the most clutch player one is on the Brewers I'd go with whoever has the best batting average with RISP over a large sample size. I'm not sure who that is because I dont' have the data in front of me.
