  1. Ok. Maybe it's because I got Escobar's autograph in Tucson last week. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  2. You may think that, but we pretty much know what we're going to get from Cappy, Bush and Vargas - Extreme Mediocrity. Why not go with the upside of Villanueva?
  3. If this is serious enough to miss Opening Day, Escobar better be our starting SS. Counsell is just fine as a backup.
  4. I finally got my 9 pack in the mail today. Took long enough.
  5. If I wanted to be classy, I'd be a politician or something. I want the Brewers to win games. I don't care how nice or classy I am. If the only way to get Capuano off the opening day roster in favor of a better pitcher is a minor elbow injury then I'm glad it happened. If you are a "fan" of a team that is short for "fanatic". Fanatic and Classy usually don't go together in the same sentence. I admire Cappy for making good of most of his time with the Brewers, but we are a winning team now. It's time to let talent be more important than veteran savvy and grittiness. I apologize for not being classy.
  6. I don't think Cappy was treating Spring Training like this and he still did horrible. Not a good sign unless if it truly was his sore elbow as the culprit.
  7. I just got back on Monday and it was awesome. Peoria was my favorite ball park. Maryvale was cool too because a lot of the game was in the shade. I didn't like Tucson that much, but it was a very intimate park.
  8. Yeah I don't know what to believe when Suppan says he's just working on his pitches as his first priority and not getting people out. Is that a decent excuse for an 11 ERA in spring? I guess we'll find out.
  9. It sounds like the Cappy injury isn't a big deal anyways. The JS has him as day to day with elbow soreness. They'll probably start the year with Parra in the rotation and then send him down when Cappy is ready. That would be unfortunate, but I think that's the way things will play out early in the season.
  10. Yeah and Sheets getting hurt had nothing to do with that. We got to insert Yo in our rotation so it obviously made it better.
  11. I just got back today from AZ and the gates opened at 11 am for a 1 pm game. Although I recommend checking out the minor leaguers around 10 am. I got Gamel and Jeffress's autograph from it.
  12. My buddy and I got free tickets to the Padres game on Friday night from Joe Dillon's wife and we sat next to her and their 5 year old boy during the game. It was very interesting to hear their story about Joe making a comeback. His wife had nothing but great things to say about the Brewers and she is hoping he stays with them. She said she didn't like it when he played for the Marlins because the team didn't take care of him as well as the Brewers do. It's good to hear about that kind of stuff. Oh and their 5 year old child looks just like Joe and he started playing Tee Ball. What a great trip this has been.
  13. I probably got mine now. I will find out when I get home from the Arizona Sun.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  14. I'm sure the weather will get crappy again just in time for when I fly back in on Monday.
  15. Look for me on TV. I'll be there! It's so nice and sunny here, but I hear the weather is better back in Wisconsin too. Go Crew!
  16. I thought Rich Hill was supposed to be this great pitcher everyone keeps talking up in Cub Land. Why isn't he starting in the top 3 of the rotation?
  17. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080310&content_id=2417164&vkey=spt2008gamer&fext=.jsp&c_id=mil Like the Brewers haven't seen Zambrano enough that one Spring Training start is going to give anything up. The Cubs are scared of us. Tis true.
  18. Let's have some patience here. Rickie's going to be a nice leadoff hitter for this team. All he has to do is get on base to get that blazing speed on the bags and he will achieve his role on the team.
  19. When they had Barry Bonds and Andy Van Slyke.
  20. I leave on Wednesday for Phoenix. I can't wait because it refuses to warm up in Wisconsin. ENOUGH WITH THIS WINTER ALREADY!!!
