  1. Yep. Poor decision on the leagues part.
  2. Yep. I've seen the final displayed and never go out of my way to watch it. If it's on I'll leave it on, but yea, not all that exciting. I wish it was all college kids.
  3. Yep. They need to sweep the end. 3 n 1 might be close with a win or 2 in the big 10 tourny...maybe
  4. Yea, Wisconsin was very fortunate to come out with a tie. I thought their chances for tournament bid were shot a few weeks ago, but they have four huge games coming up against Michigan and Minnesota. The last 6 games are huge. 2 against OSU too. The tie dropped them from 17 to 19 in the pairwise...so really they are about 5 spots out. They should have about 5 goals in the second period...so many missed opportunities and the penalty shot call was incredibly weak, but regardless, they didn't play well enough defensively to win.
  5. At the badger game tonight and I'm not sure I've ever seen such bad dzone plays. BLTs and pathetic turnovers.
  6. I realize some of them are covered, but only seeing 2 double plays is kind of fun.
  7. I'm wondering if there are corresponding moves on the horizon(Santana)...
  8. The wife picked up a SNES classic for me for Christmas, forgot how much I liked playing those old games.
  9. Missed opportunity tonight. Badgers with a terrible 3rd period.
  10. Wisconsin gets ND at home tonight. Hoping for a split. ND is tough.
  11. Yep. Hayton has been pathetic.
  12. The talent is there, but yea the results have been frustrating. The wife and I are heading to Nashville this weekend and are taking in a Preds game on Saturday. I'm looking forward to it!
  13. A guy I play hockey with on Sunday nights went to the game Saturday. He has a friend who plays for Saint Lawrence, and he said the goals were all pretty good goals. I still think it's pathetic.
  14. Badgers lose to a winless SLU team. Gross.
  15. I went to the game against Ohio State where they lost 3-2. The defense looked lost, but with as much talent as they brought in I expect them to get that shored up quickly. Hayton didn't look great, but did make one amazing save. I think they'll be in a similar position as last year but perhaps just on the other side of the cut.
  16. I enjoyed it as well. I have a few kids I coach that saw it, but didnt enjoy it nearly as much as I did.
  17. I agree, but it is frustrating watching a goal get disallowed. I'm still waiting for the league to hold Crosby accountable for his questionable antics. He chopped off one guys finger, stabs another in the groin, and then shoves a guys head into the ice and the league stuffs it under the rug. (I realize all of those things didn't happen in the playoffs).
  18. Yea, they did not look great.
  19. I suppose I am cheering for the Preds now since Milwaukee is the their team in the AHL.
  20. 3-1 lead and that OT was brutal. Oilers were just skating circles around them. At one point the shots were 13-2 (and it probably ended up like 15-3 or something without looking at the box score) and one of those shots was from center ice when the Sharks were gassed and needed a line change. Yea, ended 14 to 2 I'm pretty sure. Just an awful 3rd period and even worse OT. The sharks are so up and down though. It doesn't surprise me.
  21. Sharks...ugh. Blew a golden opportunity.
  22. Yeah I can't see STL losing four in a down with the way Allen and that defense is playing. Yea, nothing has come easy for them thus far. EDIT: I love Allen's pads and helmet btw. I haven't had a chance to watch them much this year and like the simplicity of it. The faded Logo on the all white helmet is pretty awesome.
  23. Allen has continued be be great. Blues are a tough matchup for the wild. Quite physical.
  24. Wild dominated, and this is not to take away from Allen, but they did not do a good job of getting quality shots. Of the 52 shots Allen face, maybe half were of decent quality? Too many just flick shots from the side boards for them. On their PP, and I haven't watched them all that much but they just throw everything at the net and hope something sticks. Last nights game was a big one for the Blues to hold onto because it means getting out of Minnesota with at least a split. The next game will be the decider for me. I say if they Blues win, they take it in 6. If they lose, the Wild win in 7. Just my gut feeling. Even 26 quality shots is a lot. I think the blues PK is solid. Crash down and make it tough to get close opportunities.
  25. I would love to cheer for them...but, not in this series! Wild fan? Should be a good series. Good first game to watch! Wild dominated play, but Allen was the best player on the ice(somehow only got 2nd star of the game). Frustrating loss and one that could come back to bite the Wild.
