  1. I see Stranger Things releases soon. The gal and I have enjoyed the previous seasons, but it just feels like it has been so long. I mean, those were kids when it started and I am pretty sure one of them just turned 18.
  2. Hes the best goal scorer of all time. With as good and big as goalies are now...it's hard to say he isn't. Gretzky was great and would most likely be great in today's game with all of the tech and such, but that's why comparing eras would be difficult.
  3. Predictable. Walk 2 guys in front of you and swing at a first pitch curveball no where close.
  4. Hopefully the Brewers can capitalize on a missed strike like the Orioles did.
  5. Yea, the pitch to Chirinos could have been called, but hes been all over, so he wont get any favors.
  6. This staff has given up so many free runners to start the year. Feels like it's close to 30 and we haven't even played 4 full games.
  7. Probably the case - I was happy he put a bat on that pitch he grounded out on though. Fastball up in the zone and he got around on it.
  8. True, but doesn't Hiura have reverse splits? I may be misremembering though.
  9. That could be the reason. I mean...is 3.5% the end of the world? No, but I use my card for the cash back and rewards. This basically cuts that out.
  10. In turn - a lot of places around me have started charging 3.5% for using a card. I may be wrong, but all of these convenience fees are annoying. Like getting charged a convenience fee for buying tickets online when the place only offers tickets online.
  11. Yea, Hastings is quite good. The Michigan Denver game was pretty good! I missed the other semi-final.
  12. We went to Nashville for my buddies bachelor party - had 8ish of us. Got an Air bnb and just ubered to Broadway. We had a great time. All of us in our mid to late 30s. The music was awesome and the atmosphere was great as well. Did San Diego for the honeymoon and had a good time with the gal. Go to Vegas about once a year or so and always enjoy it too. Though I like to gamble.
  13. Any Ben Sheets hit. I remember one time they interviewed him after some game where he dominated on the mound, and he only wanted to talk about his opposite field hit.
  14. I read so many different books for my 3rd graders that I dont read anything on my own except for sports related articles.
  15. Ah, yea. I must have misread the previous post and thought it was only regarding the Brewers. Sorry. The Brewers are mainly on Bally this year. Ridiculous they dont have their own streaming service.
  16. Is this true? I just saw their broadcast schedule and they are on Bally Sports for like 95% of the games and Fox or ESPN for the others. Brewers baseball is the only reason I still have Charter - if Bally comes out with their own streaming app for 20$ a month I will be saying goodbye to Charter.
  17. The laser pointers were a joke. Hated seeing that.
  18. I love both Vegas and Nashville. The flight from Milwaukee to Nashville is short and sweet for a few hundred. A comedy show in Vegas is something that is relatively cheap and covers a few hours. We generally try to take in one 'show' while we are there. Try to hit the pool one day if weather permits, go to the old strip for a day, and then gamble the rest. I typically only get to the poker tables when the wife is asleep and im running on fumes, so I can't comment on the best tables there as I typically do pretty poorly.
  19. Sorry to hear that. Is it possible you are suffering from long covid? A few of my medical friends have mentioned people continually being sick as possible long covid symptoms. My buddies wife has had a cold for about 2-3 months and the doctor told her it was long covid.
  20. I wonder if the bet was made after the start of the tourny. No way they were 200-1 in the round of 64. Edit: Just found a few sites that had pre-tourny odds to make the Final Four. St. Pete's wasn't even listed. The lowest listed were +5000, and both Iowa State and Miami were at that.
  21. Caught a high stick last night. 10 stitches later and I cant eat solids for about a week.
  22. I totally understand what you're going through - covid didn't do us any favors either.
  23. This is so true and super frustrating. Im in my 13th year of coaching and my 5th as a head varsity coach. I can't really do anything about it because our numbers are so low that we just have to deal with it. I get major life things happen...funerals, weddings, etc, but yea, work and other off season sports are a drag.
  24. Without getting political - I agree. The rules in NY made no sense.
