  1. It is just a shame the way the young guys are getting treated. J.J. didnt even use the opportunity to get better. Nothing was proved and Escobar really hasent gotten a chance to show the full game yet. It all feels so wrong. Thinking back to Gamel, that was all wrong as well. Ugghhh. Something has got to change.
  2. Say what you want, but Casey McGehee has had a pretty nice year for the crew. That was a great shot after the non-intentional walk to Prince. I am sad that JJ got the start. Not cool by Macha...... Did I see today Kendall hitting .247? Amazing........god he is hitting 18 points higher to start today than Hardy. Man, now I really hope JJ has a big last month!
  3. Agree 100% with the above mentioned therory. It is supposed to prevent broken fingers and jammed fingers when diving into bases. It may just be me, but Belliard bothers me because he looks like he doesent take very good care of himself. He is quite a large guy for a 2b. But I do agree that he has had a long career and because of this the pros must see something in him. He is like a plus-sized Craig Counsel! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. Thats funny......kind of has that "I got picked last for kickball" look to him, doesent he?
  5. Nope.....I laughed out loud as well. And I thought lobster at a tailgate was a little over-doing it!
  6. JJ could have helped his own cause by giving 3rd base a try. Yes, I know, he is a good shortstop. So was A-rod. I really wonder if the Brewers discussed this option with JJ Also, I find it hard to belive JJ would want to do anything to his trade value that would be considered negative. He wants a big deal from a winning team if he gets traded!
  7. Lets go Crew......great start for the Prince! Cam, Lopez long doubles......I am liking the start. Cubs down 3-0 before they record a Nats out. Good start to the day!
  8. Am I wrong for believing that JJ is dogging it in the minors? Just keeping an eye on his stats, he is doing pretty bad down there, granted he does have 3 solo home runs. A former all-star should be hitting above .200 in triple A Any thoughts?
  9. He still throws in the mid 90's......but he has really struggled with his off speed pitches, which he has not been able to throw for strikes. Watching part of the Yankees-Sox over the weekend, they discussed how no matter how hard a pitcher throws, a pro hitter can hit anyone who can only throw heat. I wonder if this guy could be gotten cheaper now, but I highly doubt it.
  10. I agree the strike zone is huge. I have noticed this a lot this year. I also agree that it is hard to get good volunteer umpires in little league, but I wonder if these umpires are paid or not? But to spark a possible discussion on this strike zone size..... A possible theory: The umpires are trying to help the pitchers out. Batters are using atomic bats on tiny baseball fields......maybe the umpires feel bad for all of the weak swing home runs that have been the norm over the last decade? Although I must say that I have noticed a ton of "no-hit" pitchers (most cannot finish due to the pitch count rules) and blow out games this year.
  11. Well heres to the hope that tonight ends a little better. Lets Go Crew!
  12. Nice work buddy. Great Pic too, I love the fro
  13. I worked as summer help for Hillshire Farms, who makes sausage and lunch meat. Same thing. They make many different brands and just change the label at the end of the line...... I understand that this is not always the case, but it obviously happens a lot in the food industry
  14. Stetter could have stopped Votto and Nix (both left handed). My only guess is that he couldnt go
  15. People on this site have complained often about Lopez taking plays off and not hustling......
  16. Corky is a great name and all......but damn, Soup........ I dont know how anyone can get excited for a pitcher who was rocked in Triple A Perhaps we can make a run at em, though, it is only 4-1
  17. Ugh. Soup. Every inning an adventure. But it sure is great (as they keep telling us) that he is back. uhg.....
  18. Lets go Crew! Soup has had me worrying all day, so hopefully in 3 hours I am feeling much better!
  19. Or perhaps hampers for dirty laundry? I miss Najeh.......
  20. Joe Buck bothers me because he never seems to get excited about anything. His voice sounds like he is bored. No matter what he is calling, the super bowl or the world series, the guy just doesent seem to sound like he is having fun.
  21. Welcome! Most games are on 26, we miss only a few of the WMLW games.... Good Luck!
  22. One of the all time favorites of the BF.net Madison crew for sure!
  23. I should have thought of this earlier.....but I would love to go back to 1982 and go to County Stadium for the American League Championship Series and the World Series.....I was 2 at the time, and Mom and Dad got to go and I had to stay with Grandma (That does make sense I guess...) All I have are the programs..... That would be cool to see the place go nuts as the Brewers win the American League
  24. It makes my night a whole lot better when the crew wins!
