  1. I don't understand why we traded for Rosenthal, yet we did nothing to sign him as a free agent. (yes, I know he is right handed) Geez, had we been able to sign the guy for a year, at least I wouldn't feel so violated...
  2. meh, I like Rock. It's BA that needs to go. All he is now is a guest announcer. Never has a good feel for what is going on with the team anymore. Seems like he just shows up, maybe reads some notes that a producer hands him, talks for a game, then looks forward to his next high profile gig. Why do the Brewers bother with him anymore?
  3. Has anyone seen Wednesday? Is it worth my time?
  4. My son who just completed his grad work at the University of Montana, just got his first real job in the same state. He absolutely loves it there, so this was good news. (Not that I like him being that far away, but it is what it is. It's a beautiful state, so even though we've already been there twice, I'm sure there are a few more trips to follow)
  5. I'm hoping he wishes he had retired with Neck-Tat Molina...
  6. Laureano is such a whiff machine though, and just can't stay healthy.
  7. Yeah, he is a goner at some point, but even after he leaves, there isn't room for everyone...
  8. ...and Chourio in 2024 if not sooner. That OF is going to get really crowded if Yelich doesn't move to 1B or full time DH. I'm almost wondering if one of Mitchell, Wiemer and Frelick get traded next off season.
  9. This is always my complaint t Brewers games, it's a constant thing and annoying as hell. I also love actually missing game action while people are standing, shuffling along in the rows in front of me, on their way out (or back in) to get food, use restrooms, or whatever. Back in the day, the ushers didn't let you go back to your seat until the inning ended or between half innings. Wish they would start doing this again.
  10. BA is hardly ever around anymore, and when he is, he isn't clued in to a lot of things Brewers related. He's great, don't get me wrong, but I'd like him to just leave so we can bring in a regular again...
  11. I am paying less than $100 per month with TDS. That includes cable, internet, and landline phone. Same exact package (except I don't get the AMC channel) with spectrum was $250. Dropped them like a hot potato as soon as TDS hit our area. Price is guaranteed for 2 years, at which point it will probably double, then I will go and get spectrum again for their low introductory price, and so forth... Competition is great!
  12. Yup, did it during a celebration. Made me pretty happy because I had just drafted him on one of my fantasy teams with a very high draft pick. :(
  13. CHAMPIONS was a good flick. Nothing new and groundbreaking, but a really decent feel good flick!
  14. I only want Frelick on the OD roster if he plays every single day. No 2-3 starts per week, and a few pinch hit opportunities. He needs to be playing daily to make it worth having him up. I'm for him starting full time on OD.
  15. Yeah, I don't see a problem with this at all. It is relevant to the original thread.
  16. Oh my gosh I can't stand that guy. He is simply unwatchable.
  17. If he has a good year in Japan, he'll be back in MLB in 2024. People forget.
  18. Are these announcers the normal Cubs announcers? My God, they are just horrible. Unbearable, just terrible.
  19. My hatred of the Cardinals stems mainly from the '82 series. I was a Senior in high school, and had never felt that kind of hurt as a fan in my life. That hatred has carried on since, and has grown deeper and stronger for many reasons. I really don't carry a lot of hate for the Cubs, at least not on the level of the Cardinals, although I do enjoy not liking them and rooting against everything that do.
  20. Ok, but that doesn't mean we can afford him, and since I have not heard anything that he is even open to it, I don't think we can assume he is anything close to an option. Had he said something, then I could get on board with a sliver of hope I think it is unrealistic for us to think we have a shot at an extension with any of them.
  21. Saw Creed III yesterday and really enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for the Rocky franchise. (I do admit though, seeing the beatings these guys take in the movies, and knowing full well that in real life, there would be death or total and complete brain damage, I find some of the unrealistic beatings to be a bit much. Was the same throughout all the Rocky and Creed movies though, so this isn't anything new)
  22. Just curious why everyone thinks Woodruff is our best shot at an extension. Has he ever made a comment that makes so many think it is possible? I'm telling you guys, just accept that they are all moving on and hope for big returns via trade. As much as it is going to suck to lose all 3, I feel a lot better when I don't think there is any chance than I do playing the hoping game.
  23. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm still hoping we trade him before this season gets going... Trading him at the deadline would be pretty foolish, as you have stated above, but if we want to max out the haul, trading him now, with 2 years left before free agency seems to be the wise thing to do. If we wait until this off season, and he only has one year left, we won't be getting nearly the haul we would get now. imo All it would take is for one of the big time contenders to lose a big arm due to injury in spring training. Teams would come calling if they need a starter, and that is when it's time to take what we can get in a major haul!
  24. All I know is that watching any of these three guys leave is going to be painful, but it's part of the deal, and the way things are in today's game. Sad as it is.
  25. I just don't see an opening day roster with Voit and Hiura. I think your line-up is great, but one of those guys will be replaced with Toro imo.
