  1. Wanna bet?
  2. I think we only have one person here who keeps bringing up the flip Winker nonsense. He has been told several times by pretty much everyone who comments that it is not going to happen, but he continues to beat that horse.
  3. I've taken the Kelly's Bleachers shuttles several times. Costs $20, but they give you a $20 food voucher, so we just go there, park, go into the bar and eat (using the $20 voucher), then shuttle over to the stadium. I highly recommend it to anyone! The shuttle ride back to the bar after the game can be pretty rowdy with the drunks though, probably not the best for young kids.
  4. Back to the original topic, No, I do not think they are currently working on an extension. That time was 2 years ago, and since according to Burnes himself, that didn't happen, it is far too late for a team as tight as we are, to even have a chance to do it now. No chance he takes a discount, if the recent arbitration battle isn't a clear sign that isn't going to happen, I don't know what else can be said about it. Why we had to fight ove a measly half a million is beyond me. Which is another reason I think there is zero chance of an extention. If in good faith we thought we had a shot, we would have given him what he wanted to save face, and secure a small chance we can sign him. Since we said SCREW YOU, we aren't going to give in and give you that extra half a million, the writing was already on the wal that wasn't going to happen, so we saved a little money, and realized he was a goner. I think it's time to accept the fact that he is going to leave, and now, like brewmann said above, it's time to concentrate on what we can get for him either between now and opening day, or next off season. We simply have no shot at an extension unless we want to completely bury our payroll for the next decade. After seeing what has happened with the Yelich contract, I just don't think they will want to risk it again, and pay 2 guys more than half of our payroll for the foreseeable future. It just isn't feasible.
  5. Harry was brought up a lot, I mean, A LOT! I don't remember any mention of other original characters other than Harry though. You are so right about the original show, I think it will be so hard to make this work in todays climate.
  6. Drug/medication commercials. Especially the ones that have to be prescribed. UGH! Do people really take note of these commercials and ask their doctor for certain brand names based on these commercials? Seems like a giant waste of money for these companies if you ask me. If I need a medication, I'm pretty much relying on my doctor to set me up, not asking for ones that I have seen advertised.
  7. Well, not sure why he would take a one year 35 million deal when he will surely make that or more per year on a multi-year deal with another team once he hits free agency. The only way that could be a possibility is if he just wants to guarantee that big paycheck one time before he hits free agency. I have fully accepted that Burnes will not be signing an extension, and he will be gone after the 2023 season, if not still in this off season. I truly think that if a team came calling with an offer we couldn't refuse between now and opening day, we'd still be interested in moving him now, regardless of what has been reported in the media about him not going anywhere this year. All this talk about moving him at the deadline is foolish. The only way that happens is if we are so far out of it that there is no chance of the post season, and if that happens, a lot has gone wrong.
  8. I enjoy your opinions, but damn, your posts are super hard to read. :(
  9. If Anderson and Winker are performing well enough that other teams would want them at the deadline, then it would be foolish to deal them. That means they are having good seasons and helping us win. We signed them in hopes of them helping us win, if they are doing that, trading them seems foolish.
  10. I also watched and was hoping for better results. I'll keep watching for a couple more episodes, but if it doesn't get better, I doubt I'll keep tuning in. It was just kind of blah...
  11. Huh? You think they will trade all three at this year's deadline even if we are in 1st place or a game or two out? Can you imagine what kind of message that sends to the fans? You want to see mass exodus at the gates for the rest of the season, then this is one way to do it. Dude... I originally thought they would trade Burnes and or Adames this off season, but now it appears they are going to hang onto them until next off season. I still can't imagine them trading off all three (Burnes, Adames, and Woodruff) in one off season, but that might be exactly what happens next year. That is going to be a tough pill to swallow for most fans, it won't be pretty.
  12. So Anderson, who hits righties better will be starting against lefties? It's Keston Hiura all over again. *sigh*
  13. We can't possibly know this is awesome until we see what he is getting paid. 1 year 4 million, ok... 2 years 22 million, not awesome at all.
  14. This trade also cements the fact that there will be no trades happening for a 3B either. Looks like the opening day offensive roster is pretty much a done deal now.
  15. CC doesn't care about splits, if he is a RHH he must crush lefties, it is only logical.
  16. I understand it, but it doesn't thrill me. Really hope it was a cheap signing. I guess we can pretty much say for certainty that Turang will not be on the opening day roster with this move. I'm not expecting much, so I hope this pays off.
  17. Pretty sure that photo isn't Quero, but Feliciano. lol
  18. Hopefully, at least one of these guys work out in the long run... https://www.mlb.com/news/brewers-2023-international-prospects-signings?partnerID=web_article-share&fbclid=IwAR2wyrX2FNmWUFboRomJb-PerMm_gWTfGvGbJ5SXXRfiFFcCCoOP1p2i7_I
  19. They have surely improved enough to cause us some headaches. Are they going to jump in the standings, probably not, but they are going to win more games than last year.
  20. When you have guys like Kaepernick, Bonds and Bauer, I could not care less if the league blackballs them. Not only do I not care, I agree with it. There are certain scumbags in this world that feel entitled, and when you do things that would make an entire sports league want nothing to do with you, and you get blackballed, to me, that is nothing but good old karma.
  21. The only way to stop the Cards from grabbing him is that we go get him first. It would probably end in a nightmare, but the risk reward is intriguing.
  22. Brock on the list? Nope. I'm ok with Prince being #1, but Cooper should be #2 if not # 1b. I'd have even been comfortable with Cooper at #1 and Prince 1b.
  23. I really wonder if there has been any conversation between the Dodgers and Brewers about Adames. Seems like a perfect fit considering their farm talent.
  24. Ok, but when things get tough, and you act like that, it shows a little bit about your character, right? Just hope we don't get that version of Winker if things don't go his way early on.
  25. Since no one could vouch for Babylon, decided to take a chance and go see M3GAN. It was an interesting flick, and I liked it, but nothing earth shattering. Glad I went but probably not for everybody.
