  1. If the players weren't locked out, the players would have went on strike mid-season anyway. This is better than losing the play-offs and world series had that happened. Both sides are villians in this situation.
  2. 100% agree. I expect to see Yelich playing at least 50% of his time at DH, probably more. Taylor can take the majority of the LF duties. I'm not sure we have any intentions of signing a guy for strictly DH duties, which is why a guy like Cruz isn't going to happen. If we sign a real bat, I expect it to be a 3B/1B type.
  3. Nope, it is usually sent to you via email anyway..
  4. NO to Pham, just NO!
  5. Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Rangers have "already begun investigating" a potential trade for Matt Olson. Nathaniel Lowe had a solid first season with the Rangers and is under team control for several more years, but Olson would be a clear upgrade and give the lineup another jolt following the offseason additions of Marcus Semien and Corey Seager. Olson is a good bet to be traded post-lockout, with the Yankees and Braves also representing potential fits. RELATED: Texas Rangers SOURCE: Dallas Morning News Feb 18, 2022, 9:31 AM ET
  6. Both sides assume guilt here... You can argue for one side or the other, but the greed on both sides is sickening. Soto turns down 350 million, think about that, 350 million. Talk about selfishness. The more they pay one guy, the less they can pay the rest of his teammates, making it hard to win as a team. I'm just using him for n example here, but if he wants to win, does he not realize this?
  7. The Cardinals will be a lot better than those projections. They will cause us problems, you can count on that.
  8. Brady definitely has won the most Super Bowls of any QB. But does that mean he was the GOAT or does it mean he was a really good QB who got to spend most of his career with one of the best HCs of all time? For me personally its more of the latter than the former. ok, but that is funny to me. His stats, his wins, his playoff wins, his super bowl wins, what more can it take to understand that the guy is just flat out the best to ever play the game. Of course his coach had something to do with it, but could any QB have done what he has done based on who his coach is? I mean, he did pretty damn well after leaving that coach as well. Nope, I don't think it can be argued any longer that Brady is the GOAT, period...
  9. Any doubt as to Brady being the GOAT for anyone should have disappeared by now...
  10. I am completely shocked (and I mean this unsarcastically) that the Russian girl was allowed to skate at all. If those rules are in place to stop doping, and they let her skate anyway, what is the freaking point of the rules? This is baffling.
  11. Why is this a both sides issue? The owners locked the players out. If they didn't lock them out, the players would have went on strike. The stoppage was going to happen one way or the other.
  12. They just assume the fans will come back. They are probably right, but they are playing a risky game for sure.
  13. I think that is a bit unecessary. With our history of pitchers getting hurt on the bases, I totally agree, if we have the DH, I never want to see a starting pitcher hit again in a Brewers uniform. That includes Woodruff.
  14. In the 80's, I thought "1941" was hilarious and great. In 2022, I found it long, and not so great. There are classic moments, some that me and my buddies from that time period still quote in normal conversation, but for the most part, it isn't a movie I'd need to watch again. A nice stroll down memory lane is about it.
  15. I agree, and if that is the case, I'd say it's a 50/50 chance it's SF.
  16. I won a bet with this post. thanks ummm, please explain.
  17. Time to turn the channel. No interest in this half time show what-so-ever. Be nice if they could bring back some rock for the half time show some day...
  18. I think it's a mistake to keep ignoring Taylor and what he brings. So many of the guys I've seen brought up in these threads offer nothing more than Taylor really. Yes, Taylor hasn't played a full season as a starter, but why not give him a look, then if he doesn't work out, search for someone at the deadline? We just can't afford to pay guys 10 million that really offer nothing more than Taylor will. We need to concentrate on a big bat infielder, and roll with our outfield as it stands imo.
  19. This was his defense for him and his friends nearly killing a person. He should get a lifetime suspension, but we know that isn't going to happen. Hopefully he gets some jail/prison time.
  20. Rodgers was not 4 to 1 better than Brady this year. No, I don't think Brady should have won it based on winning the Super Bowl last year, that is asinine. He should/could have won it based on the fact it was probably his best season he ever put together, which is saying a lot for the actual GOAT... I thought Taylor might get a vote or two, but none?
  21. I remember that show, and used to watch it. haven't thought of that show in years, thanks for the memory!
  22. A pretty hollow award when the 4x MVP can't seem to win super bowls, or get to them for that matter.
  23. It's all about the weather... If you have decent weather for April, the crowds are there. Not like June-August, but I've been to April games that were packed, depending on give-away and weather. Same with May, although May is always far better than April.
  24. Soto just turned 23, and the Nats are likely going to eventually sign him to a mega deal that will keep him in Washington for the next 15 years. Their roster is old, and obviously on the downslide. It is 100% time for them to offload what veteran value they have left and rebuild for a season or two. As teams like the Brewers have proven, rebuilds can happen fairly quickly in MLB. This is especially true for teams that have an all-world foundational building block like Soto to start with. Remember when we thought we had an all-world foundational building block? (*cough*cough*Christian Yelich*cough*cough*) Good times...
