  1. I still use Tyme Machine and billfold... Occasionally I will say wallet, but 9 times out of 10 it's billfold.
  2. I would guess that Thames defensively would still be their worst option in the OF. Dude is a butcher out there...
  3. According to Jon Morosi of MLB.com, the Indians are unlikely to trade star right-hander Corey Kluber. Despite interest from a variety of clubs including the Dodgers, Padres, Brewers, Yankees and Reds, trade talks have quieted to a whisper. Morosi reports that there is "almost no chance" Kluber will be dealt before the start of spring training. The 32-year-old hurler remains one of the most dominant right-handed pitchers in all of baseball and has been on average the sixth starting pitcher off the board in fantasy drafts. 4. Sounded like you were calling Braun a knob, and that was based on his past, what else could it have been? "One of the really great things about last year's team was the absence of knobs (other than maybe Braun)." That statement looks more like you do care since you called him a knob...
  5. Reading these boards, this is exactly true. Every re-tread, used up pticher mentioned is always at some point the next Wade Miley, or the possibility of being the next Wade Miley. We got pretty damn lucky with our version of Wade Miley last season. Some of need to realize this, and stop thinking every has been is the next Wade freakig Miley...
  6. Comments like these get so sickening and repetitive... When will this board ever stop beating this drum. *sigh*
  7. How old are you? Because when I was growing up in the 90s my dad (now 69, nice) called them thongs and nobody knew what he was talking about. 52 currently... Lots of people my age know this to be true based on conversations I've had in the recent past.
  8. Love it! Nothing to lose with this kind of signing... What if he reaches the potential that so many thought he has, in a Brewers uniform, the team that originally drafted him? NICE!
  9. My Grandma also called the couch, the davenport...
  10. When I was a kid, flip flops were called thongs. Now if you say go get your thongs etc, people think you are weird.
  11. Anyone who thinks there needed to be a change in the first place should do the same...
  12. Glad this is over, Now if only Mach-punko and Harper would get signed...
  13. Hard to let a guy go 6 innings when he is getting shelled...
  14. If the walkway is dangerous, do the itmes have to be delivered? That would teach them a lesson. No shovel, no delivery.
  15. That is exactly what I thought about Serenity. Movie is moving along nicely, it's enjoyable, then BAMO! Wrecked with stupid nonsense.
  16. I saw Serenity last night. I won't spoil anything, but I was very VERY unhappy with the twist that takes place in the last 1/4 of the movie. Up until that point, it was great! After the twist was revealed, it was crap. Had I known anything about the twist, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Disappointing.
  17. The NFL's product is a joke. It only exists in it's current form because of the popularity of fantasy football. Take away fantasy football and the NFL would've already collapsed like the NHL did. Shared revenues haven't really helped the likes of the Browns, Lions, Redskins, Raiders, Jaguars, Jets or Bengals in the last decade. Strange that you mention that... I was a HUGE NFL fan a few years ago and had been my entire life. Once I stopped playing fantasy football, I just no longer cared much for any of it. Still watched, but didn't designate my all my time to see every game. Slowly, I lost all interest, to the point that I didn't watch one game, one half, or one quarter this entire season. (The way the NFL handled the Kapernick and kneeling during the anthem mess didn't help, but I won't bring politics into it, that however, was the final nail in the coffin) Another reason I could no longer stomach it was the constant commercials and interruptions. After watching for 3 hours, and enduring an hour and a half of commercials, it just seemed a ridiculous way to waste time. I don't miss it in the slightest, and enjoy all the free time I now have during football season. Baseball is my passion, and that will never change. Still have 4 fantasy teams that I follow religiously, but if I stopped those, the game would still hold my interest.
  18. Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports that the Brewers remain interested in free agent left-hander Gio Gonzalez. Gonzalez finished last season strong with the Brewers after coming over from the Nationals, so it makes sense why they are keeping an eye on things. The Mets, Padres, Giants, and Athletics are among the other clubs who have been linked to the free agnt southpaw. Gonzalez is coming off a 4.21 ERA and 148/80 K/BB ratio over 171 innings in 2018. 19. Loved Sons of Anarchy, however, the spin-off, Mayans has left me disappointed. It just hasn't held my interest enough to properly binge watch the entire season that I have stored on my dvr. I've only been watching one episode at a time, whenever I have some extra time. Not a show I made extra time for... Was just expecting a lot more...
  20. Cheers, one of the all time greats. I'd put M*A*S*H in that category as well.
  21. I own the entire series of Taxi on dvd. It is classic stuff.
  22. Awespme, I haven't checked that out yet, but loved season one.
  23. Nope, too volatile for me... Let's see how he does in 2019 before jumping to any conclusions about his future in Milwaukee. Just seems like a guy who could go downhill very quickly imo.
