If he stays reliable, and pitches like he has so far, there is no real reason why he can't remain in the rotation on a regular basis.

I really would put zero faith in Ashby, Hall or Cortes at this point. To COUNT on any one of them, much less all 3 would be a giant mistake.

Hated this trade when it happened, hate it even more now. Just gave up way too much in desperation, which is what this trade is/was. Sox taking advantage of a team desperate for starting pitching, and we fell for it...

My God, what is our plan if Frelick is down for an extended period of time. Perkins out until the end of May 26th, probably into June for Mitchel if we are lucky... That leaves us with Yelich playing almost full time in LF again, Chourio in CF, and Collins in RF? Cameron as our 4th OF? Geez.

First off, if all it cost was a top 100 player to get Abreu, I think that deal would already be done. Secondly, do you really want to go to battle with any of these guys as things sit currently? We need 3 outfielders that we can count on. Looks like we have 2 assuming Frelick continues doing what he's doing. Even he is questionable as we have to have power from someplace in the line up other than Contreras and Chourio. (I guess you can count Hoskins) Who knows what we will get from Yelich, but he shouldn't be in the OF every day either, every OFer we have on the roster plays better D than he does. So you think we are good with Perkins/Mitchell/Collins/Bauers and Cameron? I don't want any of those guys seeing regular at bats, not one of them. Those guys plugged into our powerless line-up make me throw up in my mouth.....a lot! I stopped counting on Mitchell, to me, he's just a guy who continuously disappoints. When healthy this season, he was a nothingburger. Now he's hurt, as shocking as that is. We simply can't count on him, period. Perkins is a mostly defense guy who when given extended periods of playing time, doesn't provide enough offense. Collins in no way projects as an everyday MLB player. The only reason he has been given an opportunity is because of our endless injuries. Bauers? C'mon... Cameron? Geez. So yes, we desperately need another OF who can hit for some power, as we are 100% lacking in that department due to the fact we don't have a SS or 3B that have an ounce of it (power) Our 1B, which in general should be a power source, just doesn't provide it consistently. Ugh.

Interesting little blurb... Orioles 3B prospect Coby Mayo went 3-for-4 with a walk, two home runs, and three RBI for Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday. Mayo is now up to six home runs and 21 RBI on the season while sporting a .935 OPS. Yet, even with Jordan Westburg on the injured list, Mayo remains at Triple-A with Ramon Urias starting games for Baltimore. At this point, it’s unclear when, or if, Mayo will get another shot in Baltimore. His best bet at playing time may be as a trade piece that brings a starting pitcher back to Baltimore.

Yeah, I think we DO REALLY need an outfielder. Are you basing that on the return of Perkins? Perkins, though he plays stellar defense just isn't going to cut it offensively. Right now we have Chourio, Frelick, Yelich (kind of...) and Collins/Perkins. If Yelich starts drawing more DH games, as he should, that leaves us extremely thin at OF. We may not need an OFer as much as a 3B, but the need is there for a mashing OFer.

I think Made is going to be up sooner than 3 years from now... If he keeps hopping levels with success, I think we could see him in late 26, but more than likely sometime in 2027.
