Love the Griep, Thornburg and Santana choices. Santana was a lock as the T-Rats always do bobbles of the Brewers players who rehab there the previous season. Really surprised that Garza didn't get one too. Even though Thornburg is gone, he was a dominating pitcher for the T-Rats, so he deserves a bobble in that uniform! I especially like it when they do recent players, so Griep is a great choice, and if you haven't seen a picture of it yet, it is worth your time! It is awesome! Another Ortiz was not very exciting, same with A-Rod, however, they are interlocking to form one bobble, and they look pretty cool, so I can live with it... No need to discuss the blatant overkill of Hank the Dog. Another year, another Hank the Dog. Fang and the new NWL team mascot should be a neat one... I do like the Fang bobbles, and since the Fondy Dock Spiders are owned by the Timber Rattlers, it was a natural choice to combine them for a bobblehead. Yadiel Rivera is a bit blah, but they like to do former T-Rats players that play for the Brewers, so it fits their MO. Sam Dekker is a cool idea! He might be shooting the Brat-Zooka if their promo pic has anything to do with the bobblehead. 2 Fan Votes. I REALLY REALLY hope Isan Diaz gets one of them, and I am almost 100% certain that their new field dog will get one of the two, so we can look forward to not only one dog bobble, but more than likely 2 for the foreseeable future. Too bad they couldn't have just made a Hank / field dog dual instead of the Hank the Dog on June 8th. That would have left the 2 fan votes without having to include the field dog as a choice. All in all, it's a pretty decent list.

Right?! I could see a student being scared or just not caring enough to own up, but how did the counselor not do the grownup thing to begin with? It could be that the counselor is very young himself/herself. Manners and morals are not the same with the 20 somethings as it was back in my day. (1983 high school graduate) Being a teacher myself, I know for a fact that teenagers are a total different breed than when I started teaching 27 years ago. It isn't because I am getting older, it is because their values, and more importantly, their parent's values have changed in this generation. Or, the counselor might just be a jerk, and thought the situation might just go away if they ignored it...

Since we have had recent success grooming and trading closers, why is it that other teams can't do the same exact thing, especially the ones overpaying for our closers? It seems that the more success we have of doing it, other teams will steal our formula and start doing the same thing.

Small windows for small markets..... look at KC. How sad is that? They built it the "right" way, and now after an extremely brief run they have to blow up the ship and trade off pieces. Sad for their fans. Sad that these teams, including us, that can't keep good home-grown teams together for longer periods of time. It's just sad that the disparity between bigs and smalls is so large. I'd like to see a MLB FA pool of shared money that is for teams to help specifically sign their own FA. Seems like that would be good for the game.... promote teams to keep their own..... build relationships in the neighborhood.... keep t-shirt names relevant. Also, sharing all tv $ has to be in the next CBA. KC had a group of prospects that never turned into what they hoped for. They had to mortgage the future to win a World Series and I'm sure their fanbase is happy with the result. That was never a team built for long term success. Has nothing to do with their payroll. Not sure how payroll doesn't come into play. If they could go out and buy players to add to what they have done, you don't think that factors in? Payroll does have a major part in what teams do, big market and small market.

How does Dubon compare to Diaz? Arcia is our future at SS, Diaz was our future at 2B, where does this leave Dubon? Can he play 3B?

I agree with this. I read the deal, looked up the players, and thought "meh." I just expected more in return. What did I expect back, not completely sure, but none of these players stand out as key guys that will be part of our next playoff team. Pennington, maybe, but I do not get the feeling that Shaw is our future answer at 3B, and Dubon seems like nothing more than a bench guy. No way he takes SS or 2B in our future unless Diaz really takes a turn for the worst.

Maybe the Mariners have just plain given up on Walker and want to dump him while there might still be some shine left on him? It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out, but I'm not expecting Segura to have the numbers he had last year in the Mariners park, that's for sure.

And it's not like MLB is alone in that. Look at all the hoopla over the NFL "color rush" jerseys this year. Exactly, the NFL is just as bad... I can't comment on the NBA because I stopped following anything NBA related back in the 80's...

I hate to see Roache get taken by someone else too... Really don't want to see Diaz vulnerable either...

Changing uniforms used to be something to look forward to, exciting even, but the way pro sports teams change their unis every other week these days, it doesn't even register on the "cool" chart. Marketing has trumped everything when it comes to uniforms.

Does anyone have an official list of all the bobbleheads that the Mallards and Kingfish have ever given out? I am an administrator on the Facebook "Wisconsin Bobblehead Exchange" page, and we are compiling lists to all the WI based baseball teams out there. I think you might be right, but it didn't stop them from doing the super hero Lucroy last year...
