  1. I wouldn't trade Logan Henderson straight up for Josh Smith. Smith isn't a guy that makes our chances of the World Series any better than it is now. Dude is nothing more than a utility guy. Pass.
  2. Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports that the Mariners still consider Eugenio Suárez their top priority after acquiring Josh Naylor from the Diamondbacks on Thursday. The Mariners weren’t able to get a deal done for Suárez on Thursday, as the competition for his services is believed to be much steeper than it was for Naylor, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t still trying. Adding both of the Diamondbacks’ sluggers would go a long way to fortifying the middle of a lineup that already features Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez. Related Source: Daniel Kramer
  3. Nah, money talks. He'll be long gone by 2026 opening day, to think otherwise is just fooling yourself.
  4. Man, that is a severe overpay for a guy like Smith. This looks like we are willing to overpay and are desperate. Smith can do a lot, true, but what can he do well enough that he pushes us to a World Series appearance? If we give up a package like that for Josh Smith, who is nothing more than a utility guy for the next 3 years, that is complete and total failure on our front office.
  5. If Suarez can be had for that package, then we won't get him, many teams can and will beat that offer. By the way, it's CorteS...
  6. I might physically be sick if this happens. Gross.
  7. MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand reports the Reds and Diamondbacks have discussed a potential Eugenio Suárez trade. Feinsand adds that sources have called it “a long shot” that a deal comes together between the two clubs involving Suárez, who is second in the National League with 36 home runs this season. Arizona’s decision to pivot towards the future got a lot easier after they were swept this week in a three-game series against the Astros. Feinsand notes that they’re shopping Suárez, Josh Naylor, Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly, all of whom are set to reach free agency in the offseason. Source: Mark Feinsand
  8. I'm pretty happy you guys are not our GM.
  9. We already have your Kwan, his name is Collins?
  10. Are you just copy and pasting the same guys into every single trade now? Geez.
  11. You can't offer the same exact players in EVERY trade scenario. You have to take into account what the team we are trading needs. What makes you think all these teams need the same thing? What makes you think all these teams want the guys that you don't want? It's monotonous.
  12. Also, if that's what it would take, it would be done! Just not close at all.
  13. Dude, you are not even close with this offer. You are withholding all the blue-chips that it would surely take to get Skenes, much less from a division rival. Out of the players you listed, they'd probably have interest in Henderson, and some of the others as nothing but throw-ins. JUST NOT EVEN CLOSE!
  14. Mitchel won't be back, that is my prediction. Even if he does get healthy enough to come back, only a matter of time before he goes down again. He simply can't be counted on, period! I have lost all faith in the guy, and have moved on...
  15. Trading within the division would be tough. I disagree that he is one of the MOST talented in MLB. He has been unable to put it all together, even the bat hasn't lived up to expectations. I wouldn't want him in our defensive alignment anyplace. Everyone we currently employ is better, a LOT better than him defensively.
  16. Boyz is also a great movie!
  17. DVD PURGE: Close Encounters of the Third Kind - Was looking forward to giving this a watch since I probably haven't seen it in it's entirety since the 80's. I mean, I was 11 or 12 when this came out and it was HUGE at the time. Watching it now in 2025, it was just ok. We are pretty spoiled these days with special effects and such, and in 1977 when this was made, it was probably cutting edge... Storyline was good, everything was fine, but that is the best I can say. It was fine. Do I need to see it again, nope. Goner Colors - I really really really really love this movie, always have. Came out when the gangs in LA were all the rage. Literally, it was kind of sad at the time how pop culture put these murdering thugs on a pedestal. Of course rap music was the rage, and that is where most of it came from. Anyway, great movie, love it from the cops perspective. KEEPER!
  18. Which is why it would be nice if people were specific with names in these kind of threads.
  19. The ideal situation would be to keep Miz and have a Skenes/MIZ top of the rotation for the next 5 years. Probably impossible, but then again, prying Skenes form them is probably also totally impossible without giving up the entire farm. Fun to think about, but probably just a waste of brain power in the end.
  20. If that would get it done, it would already be done. I don't think that is even close to what it would take. First of all, take Quintana out of any deal involving Ramirez, that is just whacko to even think he'd be in that conversation. Secondly, Made would almost certainly be in any talks to get Ramirez, that would be the starting point. Made, Henderson, Pratt and that still wouldn't be enough...
  21. We would see a noticeable difference on defense with Abrams at SS over Joey...
