  1. Yup, like to have guys who are consistently there, not just making occasional guest appearances, which is what BA seems like these days. I want guys who are winning and losing with the team on a daily basis. Guys who are there for all the ups and downs for every game during the season, not just when it works out in their schedule. To me personally, BA just doesn't feel like a Brewer broadcaster any longer, just a guy who fills in.
  2. Meh, I'm used to him being gone. I don't really care if he just plain leaves for good. When he does show up for Brewers games, he just isn't as into it as he used to be. He isn't as informed, and it's hard for me to care what he says when he is no longer living the Brewers life.
  3. In my heart I want Cleveland to win, but my head wants a high payroll team to win it all to shed light on the fact that the league is rigged against the small market teams. Every time a small market team wins it, you can just hear the comments: "see, small market teams can win it all, the league is fair, no salary cap works" ugh
  4. I'm assuming this means 4 playoff teams for the AL and 4 playoff teams for the NL... Division winners make the playoffs, no one else. I don't mind this really...
  5. Back to my DVD purge: Bohemian Rhapsody - I want to dump this one, but I don't. I'll keep it for now, but I can see this one leaving the collection someday. Bone Tomahawk - Deeply disturbing. Goner Bonnie and Clyde - I'm not much of an old movie guy, but this one I remember watching as a kid, and it sticks. Keeper The Jason Bourne Movie Collection - Good action packed flicks, but no need to watch again. Gone, all of them. Bowfinger - Decent and entertaining, but no need to see it ever again. Goner
  6. At this point, I have no clue what the Brewers plans are for Black. Seems 2B and 3B are out the window. I highly doubt they see him as a 1B, at least in the immediate future. That leaves OF, which I thought he was playing a bit of in AAA? I think, if he has any kind of value at all on the trade market, he should be moved, as I just don't feel we are committed to him anyplace on the field.
  7. Which is 100% why he has to be traded this off season, not at next season's deadline. If he starts the year with us, I think he ends the year with us, unless things have gone horribly wrong at the deadline, and we trade him because we are out of the playoff hunt.
  8. Ok, however, we no longer have that dinger hitting shortstop, and since that position will be filled by either Turang or Ortiz, we have to get power from someplace. 3B is the obvious choice for power for us, if we add another light hitting guy to play 3B, or if God forbid we put Frelick over there, where is the power going to come from? Not 2B, not SS, not 3B, and we have a pretty crappy situation to deal with at 1B too. DH? I would expect Yelich to play there a lot the first part of the year. That is decent power, assuming he is 100%. That leaves Catcher (Contreras is a plus there) and the 3 OF spots. Chourio will take care of one of those spots. Perkins/Frelick = no power. Mitchell is yet to be determined. So after breaking it down, 3B 100% has to be a position of power for us. I am completely against sticking Frelick over there. It seems asinine to even consider it when we have guys like Wilkins and Boeve on the cusp.
  9. I want nothing to do with Frelick's bat playing 3B either. Offense and power are supposed to come from the 3B position, and Frelick doesn't provide that. Look at most rosters, and you'll see that the 3B position provides a lot more offense than Sal gives us. Stop with the insanity of him playing 3B. It just isn't realistic. Seems like a novelty idea rather than a realistic idea to me.
  10. Black at 3B isn't happening. They have moved on from that.
  11. Not a freaking chance, the guy sucks, sucks hard. He's a K machine and a hack at 3B. Nope.
  12. I've said this several times now, the O's have Felix Bautista returning, they will not be in on Williams.
  13. Oh, and I agree, I miss the trading post forum. No clue why it was taken away yet we still have a debate forum that has a total of 14 posts in the 2 years since it started...lol
  14. My first thought was that it could be Abner Uribe. Does he know how long ago it was signed?
  15. Penciling in Woodruff to start the year in the rotation would be a mistake. Anything Woodruff adds in 2025 is a bonus, but counting on him as one of our top 5 in 2025 would be irresponsible imo.
  16. Astros?
  17. The Orioles DO NOT need a closer. Felix Bautista will be back for them.
  18. Can't root for the Padres as long as Manny PUNK Machado graces their dugout. Just can't...
  19. Baltimore will have Felix Bautista coming back as their closer. Closer won't be on their to-do list in 2025.
  20. I'm going to post this again since no one commented. Is this at all even a remote possibility? he gets pumped up doing his little hat yelling routine, then he takes the mound and pitches. It was completely disrupted by the malfunction, and he never recovered. Athletes can be extremely routine based, and I believe that this could have added to his issues last night.
  21. Nah, we are stuck with him for a second year... I can only hope that one more year after surgery, he comes back and has a good year.
  22. I think that was going to happen regardless of his chokejob.
  23. Well, the media and MLB still have their dream scenario possible... A Judge -Ohtani World Series is still on the table...
  24. Yup, every single manager, at every single level, in every single league in the entire world, would have done the same exact thing. It's stupid to argue otherwise.
