  1. Every time I see Lohse pop up in a thread, I throw up a little... I can not physically tell you enough how much I do not want him in Milwaukee.
  2. That is disappointing...
  3. Does Sheffield have a checkered past other than his time with the Brewers? I have no memory of him acting like a jerk outside of his time with the Brewers, but I could be wrong. Was it ever actually proven that he tanked in Milwaukee to get out of town?
  4. This. I watch this show each week and love it. I look forward to it, and view it as entertainment. I also think people are far too picky, this isn't life and death. It's a great show!!
  5. Hard to imagine today's players doing this kind of thing...
  6. glad it isn't us that is overpaying for guys like this...
  7. Is BIG GREEN LAKE the same as Green Lake? I get the feeling these are two different places...
  8. ...and it is cheap!
  9. If you remember this as a kid, I bet you'd be interested in this: http://www.amazon.com/This-Week-Baseball-Season-One/dp/B00A2YFPXQ/ref=pd_ys_ir_all_474 I am deciding if I want to start the series or not. What an absolute joy it would be to travel down memory lane when baseball and all the stars of the day meant so much to me as a kid.. This would truly be a nostalgic journey...
  10. I have heard nothing in regards to variants, I hope no news is good news! (meaning NO variants this year)
  11. It is pretty hard to place value on it to be honest. Basically, it is worth whatever you can get someone to pay for it. Great item, but I don't think you can pay your mortgage with it...
  12. There are 250 of each version for the holiday ticket promotion... (250) 1952 Papermakers (250) 1960 Foxes (250) 1983 Foxes (250) 1995 Timber Rattlers (250) 2011 Timber Rattlers Still makes the original versions with the Time Warner Plaque valuable imo since they are different. Anyone with the set of 4 commons from opening day with the TW plaque would still need the Papermakers opening day version with the TW plaque to complete the actual collection.
  13. It's still fun to collect them, it just isn't hard to get them from the secondary market. So many get extras now to sell or trade, that going to the game is no longer the only way to get them... I don't want them to stop the bobble SGAs, just want fewer numbers, and fewer repeat players. There is going to come a time when it becomes just too many to collect. If there are almost 30 bobbles this year again (including the minors) at some point, people will just stop collecting. They take up a lot of space, not to mention the cash involved. If every 3 or 4 years the serious collector is adding 100 new Brewers bobbles (again, including the minors) it just becomes unrealistic to stick with it. Can you imagine the money involved if someone were to start their collections now, and wanted to get them all? I just don't see a lot of new collectors starting up knowing that the task would be pretty monumental.
  14. They are exactly the same except they have no plaques... http://bobbleheaddolls51565.yuku.com/topic/10778/timber-rattlers-holiday-pack They made another 250 of each for this promotion.
  15. Bobble games used to sell out because people wanted the bobbles. Now, if you don't go to the bobble game in person, it is pretty easy to pick up the bobbles on ebay or craigslist for cheap, so it is no longer priority. I know that I used to go to every bobble game without fail, just so I could be sure I got the bobbles. Now if I can go, I do, if not, no biggie, I either trade for the bobble or go to ebay... The novelty has surely worn off. I'd like to see fewer bobbles and add in some other cool giveaways. Figurines would be cool too.
  16. I like turtles. I like FLIPPY DIPPY. who doesn't?
  17. I doubt you will find a better price than this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008KRWKB2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_7?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER $13.49 ! !
  18. This can go in so many other threads, and really has nothing to do with THIS thread title...
  19. I would hate to have black as a main color... Black is played out in most sports these days in my opinion.
  20. Didn't read the book, and the trailer looks pretty sweet to me! I'm there!
  21. I've never heard of or seen a 3 foot Bernie, but that would be pretty cool! I wonder if sushi on the yuku board would be willing to do one of those?
  22. The value of the Prince 3 footer once he left Milwaukee took a hit imo... I'd still be interested in one, but not for that $500 price tag.
  23. Some of their prices are a bit ridiculous on craigslist. I have contacted a couple of them, one guy wanted $250 for a Suppan...lol The only reason I'd even consider a 3 foot Suppan is because it was 3 freaking feet tall... lol I think $75 would be my cap on the Suppan. Almost had a Braun last year but the guy flaked out on me. I even drove an hour away to meet him to pick it up and he didn't show up. Gave me some lame excuse after the fact. Tried to hook up with him a few times after that and suddenly he stopped returning calls and emails. It was pretty strange how it all went down.
