  1. A little uptick in online traffic from MLB insiders about the brewers and Darvish. Are we about to be given some very interesting news ??
  2. Do we think Thames , Woodruff and Broxton would get us Archer?
  3. I don't believe the Brewers would lose any pick if they sign Darvish as he was traded mid season .
  4. With research, I truly believe the Brewers are entering a large 4-5 year window for playoff appearances and success. The team has only a few minor players who they control for less than 2 years ( sogard, Chacin, Logan, Vogt, etc...) and they have a large amount that they control for 3-6 years. 6 years: Josh Hader Brett Phillips Brent Suter Brandon Woodruff Taylor Williams 5 years: Christian Yelich Lorenzo Cain Keon Broxton Orlando Arcia Jacob Barnes Jesus Aguilar 4 years: Eric Thames Ryan Braun Corey Knebel Zach Davies Travis Shaw Domingo Santana Manny Piña 3 years: Chase Anderson Jimmy Nelson Jonathan Villar Hernan Perez The team also still has a very good to great crop of minor league options that can be seen to be ready to reasonably help between now and 2020 C-Nottingham 1b- Gatewood 2b -Hiura 2b/ss - Dubon 3b -Erceg OF - Ray Stokes Grisham SP- Burnes Ortiz Peralta Wilkerson RP - Houser Lopez Derby Bickford That's 38 players by my count who can be very helpful in many ways to put together a very consistent winning team.
  5. How about Woodruff, Broxton, Aguilar and Freddy Peralta for Archer
  6. In one of HHs posts about the trades, he referred to the second trade as a "hot" smaller trade. I just wonder if that was a little hint for us to figure out. What could "hot" mean ??
  7. Yelich's has a ops of 839 away from marlins park for his career and it went up to 869 last year. We just got an amazing player who will be a blast to watch for 5 years as he is likely just entering his prime. And we still have tons of prospects in the pipeline.
  8. Piña Nottingham Thames Aguilar Villar Dubon Hiura Arcia Shaw Erceg Braun Phillips Brinson Harrison Santana Broxton Ray Grisham Gate wood Diaz That's 20 position players who will be with or could be with the major league club in 2020 before this trade. You can't keep or start them all. You have to be willing to trade a few away to improve the club. So remove brinson Harrison and Diaz and add Yelich. We still have 18 potential players for our 2020 position player group. And that doesn't include some others we may pick up in subsequent trades.
  9. If I would decide to stay downtown , what can I do to occupy my time on a summer weekday afternoon in downtown Milwaukee until the games start??
  10. May be coming to Milwaukee for a weeks worth of games August 20-26 of next year, and am looking for a good resort style hotel for a family of 4 or 5 with teenage and older children to stay. Looking for good pools and luxury if possible. Any ideas Thanks
  11. Brewers get Jose Quintana and David Robertson White Sox get Keon Broxton, Brett Phillips, Luis Ortiz, Freddy Peralta and Mario Feliciano
  12. Broxton, Ray, Peralta and Feliciano for Quintana. thoughts ??
  13. It's not so much that it was ESPN as it was the official MLB announcement show, you'd think MLB would have some say in how's it's presented
  14. Is anybody else bothered by how disrespected Brewer fans as well as other teams were during ESPNs announcement of the teams? We are fans of a first place team and our only all star was only mentioned on a list of 6 pitchers that were portrayed as the group that just filled out the roster. Did they have to interview the managers and players as long as they did. How does it hurt to give each all star and their fans the respect to profile them even if just a little bit. I don't even think it mentioned what team Knebel played for on the graphic. We get so little as Brewer fans and we put just as much time into it as other fan bases. All I want is the respect that we are just as much part,of the league as other teams.
