  1. Glad to see Hall getting some big hits, that's his game.
  2. I realize they got a run now, but really, Braun and Fielder have to stop letting these big innings get away. Especially Braun.
  3. I dislike the HR Derby, but I might watch if Braun was in. It's less interesting than the Slam Dunk Contest in the NBA, and that's like watching paint dry. Has a Brewer participant ever performed well? I think the Futures Game is more interesting and a better showcase of MLB baseball.
  4. I've always missed County Stadium, I've never liked Miller Park. It's growing on me, but they can have all the fancy marketing and themed shops/food they want and it will never top the authenticity of Vaughn's Valley. (I have no problem with the Sausage Race - nothing wrong with a little fun and scoreboard races were around for a long time). I'm a pessimist about the Crew as well, figuring there is no way they'll even make the playoffs, let along ever win a World Series. I hope I'm wrong. I imagine a World Series win, and in my mind it's 10 times better than when the Packers finally won the Super Bowl.
  5. He is leading NL shortstops in fielding percentage I think Hardy gets the short end of the stick too much here primarily because this is a team built on offense. Relative to the other guys I don't think Hardy is ever going to be a juggernaut, but he doesn't have to be if guys like Braun and Fielder do what they are capable of. If he just hits .270 with 15 to 20hrs and he keeps playing above average defense then he's doing exactly what he's supposed to.
  6. Has there ever been a worse Brewer loss, in the history of the franchise?
  7. But Gagne is back for when that happens. Does that spell relief?
  8. Why do I continue to torture myself by watching these games. For crying out loud, it simply can't be as hard as they make it.
  9. Just once I'd like to say, it's not over til it's over, but for it really to just be over. Why, Brewers, Why!?
  10. 5 runs or 9 outs, which comes first? This bullpen makes everything so much more fun.
  11. I sort of wonder if I'll get bashed as a bad fan for this, but my vent is that I can't even watch the games anymore. I turn it on, and then I sit in the other room occasionally checking the score. I was at the Blue Jays game (my first time at MP in almost 2 years) when they nearly blew an 8-1 lead in the 9th. In the 8th inning with a 7 run lead I thought to myself, "I never get here, so for the next two innings I'm just going to relax and take in the experience of a fun Brewer win." Then it took 45 minutes to get 5 outs. I know they won, but that game just made me so mad I can barely even watch anymore. I swear that I'm not a bandwagon fan, I've been following this team for 20+ years. Watching the same bad baseball from a team that is supposed to be 'talented' over and over really bothers me. I know they won last night, but why does a 6 run lead always have to end up as a save situation.
  12. I was at the Blue Jays game with 6 runs in the 9th. It'll be the only game I get to this year. I will not be able to feel comfortable with a 5 run lead the rest of the year. Let's get some runs.
  13. I hate to complain about 3 runs, but it never feels like enough.
  14. So I was criticizing Prince, I guess I have to criticize Braun for that at bat. Come on Prince, prove me wrong.
  15. It's probably not fair, but I've lost a lot of patience for Prince. Edit: Maybe the inside the park homerun last week tired him out.
  16. Very disappointing first inning. Prince has to have more productive at bats. His 3 pitch K killed that inning. I know there is always talk here about how Ks aren't that bad, but you've got to at least move those runners so Hart has a shot to sac someone in.
  17. I don't like the new Klements ad with the family around and the sugary sweet music. I liked the old one. "Why do they race, they race for taste!" Of course that's why they race!
  18. I've got the opportunity to go to my first Brewers game in over two years this week. I should be excited, but instead I'm afraid I'll be forced to sit through a debacle like last night. I agree with the tone of a few of the above posts. I'm trying not to lose faith and convince myself that these are growing pains of a team that has a lot of potential. But, they don't seem to be getting any better right now. Any progress seems followed by a bigger regression. 22 pitches seen in the extra innings last night! Unbelievable. They don't know how to win.
  19. Billy Joe Robideaux as an El Paso Diablo.
  20. good win. I hate that I get so negative, but they always seem on the verge. good win.
  21. Bill Hall, where double play balls go to die.
