  1. We were in the Molitor lot on Monday as well, toward the front. I started out using first set of port-o-john's against the fence on the freeway entrance side of the lot. At first it was fine. Around 11 it was a good 35-40 people deep. So I walked a little further to use the four that were in the front of the lot. Obviously, it went way faster. I just don't understand why there can't be at least four everywhere on opening day.
  2. I tried getting a lid on my DD drink last night. I was told they were not able to put lids on them. That was on the 100 level, first base side.
  3. I just ordered the barrelman hat on MLB shop. There is a 20% off coupon code that works on MLB shop. The code is "mlbemploy" if anyone is interested. I'm not sure how long it will work, but I used it today and it worked fine.
  4. If I'm not mistaken, Marshall redshirted last year, so he simply would've ridden the pine a lot this year. That or Jackson wouldn't have seen nearly as much playing time and Marshall would've been the backup point. Either way, things would've been drastically different if Gasser was healthy. But the experience Jackson and Marshall got this year should really help greatly for next year.
  5. Take some time looking into Nigel Hayes, Vitto Brown, Bronson Koenig, Riley Dearring, and Ethan Happ. I think you'll regain your excitement.
  6. I don't see why not. I think there's a reason this game was scheduled for 2015, from Wisconsin's perspective. At that point they will likely have a 3 year starter at QB, whether that's Stave, Houston, or McEvoy. Gordon will be a senior, I believe. They'll have experienced players at most positions. And who knows what kind of recruiting boom might happen under GA in the next year or so. Clearly, it's difficult to say this far out what will happen. But I'll remain optimistic about Bucky's chances until I have reason not to be.
  7. At what point will Bud Selig start being roundly booed in Milwaukee? Have we gotten to that point now?
  8. Per Jon Heyman: "that ped rumor thats been floating out there today is compete BS, and thats capital BS. lets move on."
  9. As far as I'm aware, there is no off-season testing. So the timeline just doesn't seem to fit here. All these guys would have had to have been tested immediately after they arrived at Spring Training. Their tests would have had to have been sent to the lab and finalized. The appeals would have to have been nearly completed. That also means Braun would have had to have come into Spring Training on the juice. I do not consider Braun to be that stupid. You would think that after the Braun leak in 2011, MLB has made even more of an effort to keep this process confidential. This whole "rumor" seems preposterous. And what makes it even more unbelievable is that it's being perpetuated by a Mets fan who is implicating all Yankees except one, Braun.
  10. But baseball didn't have a problem with guys sticking needles in their butts in the mid to late 90's, not when it helped boost ratings, not when it helped put butts in the seats, not when owners were giving stupid money to the players who were doing it. So who is really at fault for the "drug culture" in MLB? Is it the players? Or is it MLB and the owners? In my opinion, MLB and the owners allowed and ultimately encouraged this kind of culture to thrive just by turning a blind eye. What you permit, you promote. And now, the players are being punished for the sins of their hypocritical bosses even with only the flimsiest "connection" to PED's.
  11. Honest question: Why, when football players (see Neal, Mike; Sherman, Richard et al) or basketball players (see Turkoglu, Hedo; Lewis, Rashard et al) are busted for banned substances it's barely a news story and no one condemns them, but a baseball player is weakly linked to PED's or assumed to be on them with no proof and he's the devil incarnate? And don't give the answer "because a lot of baseball players have been busted." That's too simplistic.
  12. There are a few items in this whole "new" info that need to be discussed. First is this mention at the very end of the "Worldwide Leaders" article, which may be more important than anything written before it: If Biogenesis were this huge doping facility, wouldn't these agencies be on it like glue? They aren't going near it and don't appear to have any reason to. As James L (crewcrazy) said in his Disciples of Uecker post, "if Biogenesis was actually dealing banned substances, the appropriate authorities would likely be bearing down on them by now. And they’re not." You can read that post here: http://disciplesofuecker.com/espn-says-braun-is-on-another-biogenesis-document/7981 Second, this line from a deadspin article posted today is interesting: http://deadspin.com/5984639/biogenesis-ped-records-just-being-given-out-in-boxes-of-cereal-now?tag=scary%2C-scary-drugs At this point I'm more inclined to believe deadspin reporting based on their Teo story and their latest story involving the Toledo cross country coach. If you haven't read it, I encourage you to do so. Third, when this story first broke the names of A-Rod, Cabrera, Colon etc., were the first names to be reported. The "Worldwide Leader" is now saying Braun's name is on documents with those names that were first reported. My question is this: why is Braun's name now all of the sudden listed with alleged PED users? Why wasn't it first reported when this story originally broke? And if you missed it in the "Worldwide Leader" story, Braun's attorney threated legal action if they published this story. No other player connected to this story has threatened that. Only Braun has. Why is that? If, as this new story states, the DEA, FBI, and FDLE aren't investigating Biogenesis, and seem to have no interest in doing so, why is the "Worldwide Leader" making this the story that it is? They withhold information on the Teo story because there wasn't enough evidence, yet they publish this Biogenesis story with the names of players because of what it implies, not because of what it says. Is it a witch hunt, not just toward Braun, but MLB in general? Could Deadspin be onto something with what they're saying in their story?
  13. Maybe I misread this but just to be clear, Bosch may or may not be the leak. It is just speculation but would explain a lot. What I said there was just speculation on my part, not anything concrete. I can see how it might be taken the other way though. I haven't listened to the Costas interview and I don't plan on listening. But it seems like he has become one of the most self-righteous blowhards in sports media the last couple years. The thing is, I really like listening to him because of his baseball knowledge. But he's really become off-putting with his PED pulpit pounding.
  14. I would suggest you read J.P Breen's piece referenced above as to why Braun shouldn't and won't produce any documentation. I find it hard to believe that Braun's connection to Bosch--however small it may be--is something new to MLB, especially if they investigated who leaked his initial positive test. Since I highly doubt MLB would want such a leak on a positive test again, I have to believe that MLB did their due diligence in this matter to find out where the leak came from. Assuming they did, that would mean they had to have some idea of who leaked Braun's positive, hence they had some idea about Bosch. If so, might that explain why they were able to bust Cabrera, Colon, and Grandal last year? I know the testing is random, but it's an interesting thought.
  15. Apparently, T.J. Quinn said this on ESPN First Take: "I see nothing that linked Braun to drugs from that clinic." To me, that's a powerful statement considering the source.
  16. I am just amazed that McCutchen has almost 6 times as many votes as Braun up to this point (47,000 to 8,000). It's just mind boggling to me that McCutchen has so many and Braun has so few.
  17. You can watch Greinke's press conference here: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?topic_id=16646644&c_id=LA&content_id=25524357 Even though he was only here a short time, he'll go down as one of my favorite Brewer players ever.
  18. Rick Pizzo of Big Ten Network said that Alvarez was aware that Bielema was going to leave before the regular season even ended. An Arkansas message board poster with apparent connections also said that Bielema told Arkansas in April he wanted the job, but was going to wait until after the season. Those two things seem to jive if true. It would then mean that Alvarez has already started the search for a new coach. Hopefully he hires one ASAP to calm the fears of the recruits.
  19. No, I know Cena hurt his knee. I just looked back to last Monday's main event, Punk vs. Kane, and Punk was favoring his left knee quite a bit.
  20. Apparently CM Punk underwent emergency surgery on his knee today. No other details available at this point. Can't imagine he'll be recovered enough to compete in the PPV in two weeks. I wonder what they're going to do with this. Wasn't it last Monday that he was really holding his knee as if it was actually hurt?
  21. We stay on Range Line lake right off of hwy 45 near Three Lakes for a week in June. It is nice to navigate all different lakes for fishing.
  22. Except that after writing the check to Hamilton you'd....still have the prospects. Sure, but if it's going to take 20 million or more a year for Hamilton, that seriously hinders you from addressing other areas of need. So you trade the prospects for Stanton, and you'll have him for another 4 years in his prime (which is close to how long you'll have Hamilton, except he's leaving his prime) and you still have the financial flexibility to address team needs. So, if I had to choose between one of the two, signing Hamilton (which it seems the Brewers for whatever reason are considering) or trading for Stanton, I'd choose trading for Stanton every time.
  23. I think I would much rather pay what it takes in prospects to get Stanton than I would pay what it takes to get Josh Hamilton.
  24. That picture is awesome. Had to make it my avi.
  25. That clip gives me goosebumps and a constant smile every time I see it. That was one of the greatest sports moments I've ever witnessed and experienced. And I'm glad I was able to experience it in person. I'll always have a soft spot for Nyjer Morgan because of that. And for the record, I couldn't stand him before he became a Brewer.
